  2. Her album trailers are always cute. I remember being so excited when I heard the preview of Freak I do hope we get something like that again but honestly I just want the album
  3. @@recklessdaughter Sorry I was trying to reply but it didn’t go through. I’ll post my For the Roses ranking soon My ranking: See You Sometime/You Turn Me On I’m A Radio (tie) Electricity Blonde in the Bleachers Lesson in Survival Woman of Heart and Mind Barangrill For the Roses Judgement of the Moon and Stars Cold Blue Steel and Sweet Fire Let the Wind Carry Me Banquet
  4. lol I guess it’s just the two of us in this thread so here’s my ranking for Blue: River Little Green Carey California A Case of You My Old Man This Flight Tonight The Last Time I Saw Richard Blue All I Want Every song on this album is basically perfect imo except for All I Want, but that one is still cute
  5. Saturday Church was amazing! It has a few cast and crew members in common with the show Pose. The singing/musical scenes were kind of awkward, but it was a really beautiful story. Ideal Home was decent. It didn’t hit the mark for me in any notable way, but it was a little bit funny and overall a nice story. Editing this to add more films: Blackbird was a really good idea, but it tried to do too much and just turned out messy by the ending. Also the love interest was not my taste at all But that “You Suck” song was so cute The Danish Girl was really well-made and I appreciated Eddie Redmayne’s acting even though he’s not actually trans himself. This movie did a great job of fleshing out both Lili and Gerda, and they were both great characters. Monster Pies was better than I expected. Even though it was extremely white, it was a sad but refreshing take on the typical gay teenager story.
  6. Usually I like ballad-type songs more as well. For me, I don’t love The Jungle Line because the drums feel looped and repetitive, whereas the rest of the album has so much instrumental variety.
  7. I’m curious what puts The Jungle Line and In France... at the bottom of your list
  8. My ranking for Summer Lawns: In France They Kiss on Main Street Shades of Scarlett Conquering Harry’s House/Centerpiece The Hissing of Summer Lawns Edith and the Kingpin The Boho Dance Don’t Interrupt the Sorrow Sweet Bird Shadows and Light/The Jungle Line (tied) I’m not super familiar with a few of these songs because I haven’t listened to this album as much as some of her others, but the top 3 songs on my list are definitely favorites of mine for her entire discography. I love the lyrics on this album especially.
  9. Reviving this thread to ask Does anyone on here like Teen Wolf? I’m about to finish season one and I’m wondering if I should continue.
  10. I like this idea! Which album next?
  11. Recently I’ve watched a few queer films and I’m hoping to have time for more soon A Million Happy Nows - Super beautiful and poignant lesbian film but have the tissues ready Beginners - It’s been a while since I saw it, but I thought this one was really sweet Oy Vey, My Son is Gay - This one wasn’t amazing but it had some really nice heartfelt moments + Jewish representation I picked up about 5 other queer films from my library’s Pride Month display so I will update after I’ve seen more

    Björk

I think I’m just going to buy her CDs so this won’t happen again tbh And now I get to have them on my shelf which is an added bonus

    Björk

My dumb iTunes deleted all her albums So now I get to give her all my coins for a second time

    Lil Nas X

I love him (I keep trying to get noticed on Twitter )
  15. No one asked but here’s my ranking of the songs from Court and Spark lol. This was way more difficult than I expected because I love most of the songs except maybe Twisted, but I do still appreciate her sense of humor in that one. Looking at this list I’m still not satisfied Free Man in Paris Help Me Car on a Hill Trouble Child Raised on Robbery The Same Situation People’s Parties Court and Spark Down to You Just Like This Train Twisted
  16. They’re really trying to make this poor movie happen between the song and Noah Centineo and the “wig” scene in the trailer
  17. Checkmate is great
  18. I love the introspective human behavior analyst side of her music because I relate and it’s so rare to see that kind of thing portrayed well
  19. Nobody told me that Wild Things Run Fast is such a good album!!! I think I will always prefer her older music, but I am so pleasantly surprised by some of her newer work

While I’m here I may as well drop this
  21. Boyyy with luuuuuvvvv oh my my my oh my my my
  22. Yessir! Some of the songs are still growing on me, but I really like these ones: In France They Kiss on Main Street, Edith and the Kingpin, Shades of Scarlett Conquering, The Hissing of Summer Lawns, and Harry’s House/Centerpiece. I think this album is less suited to my personal taste but I can still appreciate it for the most part. I’m gonna try to take my time to listen to it for a month or so before I move on to another album.
  23. Shades of Scarlett Conquering.... wow....
