NFR 5 years... there is no other album I have such strong memories and feelings about. I'm so glad I got to experience it in real time, I remember where I was listening to each single, and this album will always bring me back to exactly where I was in 2019. I think this is one of those almost historic albums that will be remembered long after her career is over, like a Blue by Joni Mitchell or a Back to Black by Amy. It's such memorable and beautiful songwriting accompanied by such incredible and atmospheric production (everyone say thank you Jack Antonoff). I feel so lucky to exist at the same time as NFR :crai:

Happy birthday to my favourite album of all time. It came at a time when I was so unsure and insecure, lost at sea, and Lana was literally guiding me to shore. Forever sad that the European leg of the tour was taken from us, but I’m forever grateful that I got to experience the full VB experience as the show closer at sunset in Sweden - one of my most impactful experiences to date. Afterwards once people had left I just remained dazed on the grass and feeling so grateful to be alive. 10/10 on all songs end to end. Thank you Lana

Rolling Stone: The 250 Greatest Albums of the 21st Century So Far

15. Lana Del Rey, ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell!’

Norman Fucking Rockwell! introduced the world to a new Lana Del Rey. With her sixth album, Del Rey departed from the orchestral, dark-pop sounds and toxic love-idealizing lyrics of the records that made her a cult favorite. Instead, the star opted for introspective storytelling (“And if this is it/I had a ball”) and a nuanced look at the American dream, spinning Rockwell’s art perspective on its head. The album’s flowy, experimental sounds also introduced her synergistic partnership with Jack Antonoff, which continues to thrive today. Among its many stunning qualities, the album has Seventies tinges, a Sublime cover, and the iconic line “Goddamn, man-child/You fucked me so good that I almost said ’I love you.’” —T.M.

I just saw Cinnamon Girl just had her biggest streaming day with 928 K streams:oprah2: I wonder if it will reach 1 million streams, that would be huge

"Swan Song. It’s on my album Honeymoon. It’s the antithesis of hopefulness. It’s about trying to find beauty in giving up. If I had my way, I would continue to persist in all areas of my life, but it can be quite challenging because I can be too trusting too soon."

I was procrastinating and threw together a quick concept for a Norman Fucking Rockwell Deluxe Edition!

PLVjdSP.jpeg

It's just a quick idea and I haven't figured out a tracklist yet, since we don't have any NFR outtakes besides the ones that got released (NAWAL, Jimmy, VB Demo on Taco Truck x VB). But I was thinking about Looking For America, Fuck it I Love You (Vinyl Version) and perhaps the How to Disappear piano live version. We know that there are unleaked Rick Nowels outtakes but since we don't have them I was thinking California (Honeymoon) though it doesn't sound very NFR but the song is like a love letter to California, that would be fitting. Maybe you could move Doin' Time to the deluxe edition too:oic2: If anyone has ideas, they are welcomed!!

Spoiler

For now I went with this:

15.How To Disappear (Live Piano Version)

16. Wicked Game (Live From The Hollywood Bowl With Chris Isaak)

17. Looking For America

18. Fuck It I Love You (Vinyl Version)

19. California (Honeymoon)

I also made a version as an alternative album cover (without the deluxe)

15. Comment disparaître (version piano live)

16. Wicked Game (en direct du Hollywood Bowl avec Chris Isaak)

17. À la recherche de l'Amérique

18. Putain je t'aime (version vinyle)

19. Californie (Lune de miel)
