It is super beautiful how Lana never uses the word “Yosemite” in the song, but how it still fits into the rhyme scheme of the chorus “we did it for fun, we did it for free (Yosemite), I did it for you, you did it for me (Yosemite)”. It’s like you can hear an imaginary voice saying it in the chorus.
 

I take Yosemite, and particularly the famous El Capitan rock at Yosemite, to be a symbol for love. As seasons change, that beautiful and colossal stone will stand for probably hundreds of thousands of years unmoved and unchanged, just as human lovers have loved each other and will continue to love each other for hundreds of thousands of years, and to love someone is to become part of an ancient and immortal monument.

Am I the only one that is afraid that this album will not have replay value. It's not like her previous albums where I couldn't wait to hear each and every day. Don't get me wrong - I really the record but I feel like in a month I won't be listening to this album...

Well I find this album to be more accessible than NFR, all the songs hit instantly whereas I needed more time to finally get the brilliance of NFR. Also, there are no obvious standouts on this album as opposed to NFR, it's all very middle of the road so yeah... definitely a downgrade from NFR!

i think you'll like it quite a bit upon first listen if not upon future listens it'll stick to U like glue it is probably her most inaccessible on first listen but even though i haven't processed much i think...it in my top 3 at least
