after listening to the album all day, you can tell which tracks were the solid ones she had done for awhile and which ones were quickly put together.

 

it's not a bad thing, but I think they were Omanko, Kristine and Night Time, My Time because they don't have the same smooth sound YNTO, Love in Stereo and 24 Hours do

After 3 years of waiting and like 35 listens of the album (I literally played it all day), I can really say I've got this weird feeling I'm proud of someone I didn't even meet, and probably won't ever do either... But it's really that feeling, pride. It's been three years down the line struggling with labels, and gossip, and terms and conditions of the musical industry, that she can finally choose and work on something based on her own money earned by her own work... It's like, it's relatable.

I wish the sound was a little more polished, I do, and that the album consisted of 16-17 tracks, whether bonus tracks or not... But I'm not complaining.

It's been such a long wait, and it feels personal already. I started "following" this lady back when we both were 17. I even talked to her in her facebook, back in the day she replied to each and every comment...
I feel personally related to a couple of things that happened to her too, and her lyrics are crafted in the same way I'd craft them.

It feels really personal, it does.

It's an amazing album.

I'm so thankful to be able to finally hear it.

Even Love in Stereo has grown on me... TBH the 3 I don't like are Omanko, Kristine, and Nigh Time, My Time. I agree it's obvious that they were kind of last minute and they feel like filler to me. They don't feel like they were worked on hard enough or sound good enough to be put on the album. They sound more like rough demos that would be cut from a well planned album.

I really like the prechorus of Nobody Asked Me (it kind of has 2 actually, I like both) but the verses aren't memorable at all and I don't like the chorus... The prechorus sounds a little more sad and grungey to me and then the chorus is really... upbeat and cheesy riot rock? idk how to describe it tbh... But the "nobody asked me if i was okay!!! no no no no no!!!" chorus doesn't sound nearly as good as the "If I was ooookay! (nobody asked me, nobody asked me)" part. I think the prechorus should've been the chorus.

 

edit: on second thought the prechorus I'm describing sort of is the chorus... Just like, the first part of it? and then the prechorus before it is the "I tried to ask you but nobody asked me" (I love that part too though. I just hate the second part of the chorus)

You read my mind. Straight away when I heard it i thought it would be great for the mini-teaser things before the season actually starts.

 

24 Hours is my favorite, but the whole album is so good. I've listened to it almost non-stop today. The cover goes so well with the album. It shows her vulnerable side, as the album does. One of the most solid debuts in years.

I think the highlights of the album are Boys, 24 Hours, Love in Stereo, Ain't Your Right and You're Not the One. The whole album is just mind-blowing, but those 5 should certainly be the singles.
