This might be the best review so far and not only cause it's really positive but because they really understood the intention behind this album.

I love how they picked up the little details on the songs instead of just writing short sentences about each track.

Really nice :true:

yeah i hope this is 8-9/10 because they GET IT.

Kintsugi & Fingertips :xcry:

I'm obsessed with the "sunbather, moon chaser" line too

There's so much to unpack in these songs...in Fingertips she really does tell so much, I could spend hours reading over and analyzing the lyrics :oprah:

Surely that Variety review is at least a 90, they called it a riveting emotional tour de force in the headline alone.

it's so annoying, can't they just include the score im the article?:trisha:

I love that in Paris, Texas she referenced this haiku from Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass :creepna3:

so we still have

Evening standard: 8/10

Variety: ?/10 [possitive review]

Finanial Times: 8/10

And there are still Ripcord, Paste, The New York Times, The AV Club, Pop Matters, Exclaim, LA Times, Telegraph and more. We need 2 or 3 9 or 10s :trisha: These mtfks are trying to drag her score down.

"The soul that you bring to the table
The one that makes me sing
In a minor key"

Is so beautiful to me :crai:

Songs in minor keys have the reputation of sounding sadder than their major counterparts. But that is not really true - it's just that minor sounds softer, more relaxed, more vibey, less harsh than major.

So Lana tells us that Margaret is making Jack feel like that, which is such a sweet way to describe the feeling of pure love.

Fishtail’s beat sounds very nice not cheap at all. What cheap are the beats on Honeymoon. They sound too weak which is expected considering an elderly (Grandpa Nowels) was doing them. Honeymoon really needed to go twistier and much harder or remove the beats all together. The same can be said about Tulsa. That song is just too soft. I remember her preview of the song was so good (clearly it was because the speakers and the recording of it). The real song was flat. It needed more bass and punchier drops.

Jack did not hold back on Fishtail and I prefer it over Tulsa :true:.
