I mean… I have to put myself into Katy Perry's shoes here. I'm not sure if I would believe a rape claim made by the same person who started a false rumour about me being molested? Kesha's most recent statement about Luke wasn't a good look either, she said she quote: "cannot recount everything that happened" and "only God knows what happened that night".

 

With that said, it definitely wasn't a good look for her reputation.

 

Edit: To clarify I'm not saying Kesha lied about what happened to her, it's just what Katy likely believes. I think people forget that things work differently offline, it happens all the time IRL. 
 

Like from Katy's perspective: she's known Dr Luke for a decade, they're friends, and a random girl with a grudge (being stuck in this contract) makes an allegation about him. Then goes on to spread a false rumour accusing him of doing something to you ? Kesha's lawyer also accused Luke of assaulting Lady Gaga, which Gaga came out and had to deny (despite being in support of Kesha).  
 

And also, while it absolutely makes sense for her to not remember every detail, it was just odd for a lot of people that her final statement on the allegations after they settled is weirdly worded and doesn't explicitly stand by her claims / only talks about how she doesn't remember what happened.

kesha is not the one who started that rumor first of all and second of all, it would be pretty hard for anyone to remember every single detail having been drugged, no???

katy indeed had terrible timing this era, her decision to work with dr. luke again after willingly dropping him a while back was a terrible move, she was better off just releasing stuff with him from 2015 through 2020 since she flopped regardless. and on top of that, idk what happened but luke just lost his hitmaking skills from 2021 onwards, planet her truly was his last straw. just look at all the whack shit he been giving kim petras. cheap beats, uninspired (and often corny) lyrics and overall just painfully generic, and all of this can also be applied to these new songs katy dropped. i have no idea what's going on behind the scenes with her career but katy surely needs to rethink a lot of her decisions

If I didn't know any better I'd assume she was purposely self-sabotaging her own career, because it's hard to fathom any rational thought going through her mind when she decided to release WW and Lifetimes. I can't remember the last time a pop girl era was this much of a disaster. Literally dead on arrival.
