Lana Del Rey has been awarded a BRIT Billion Award to honour her achievement of having over 1 Billion digital streams in the UK.

She accepted her award backstage after her BST Hyde Park performance. She joins Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey as one of only three American artists to receive this award. She is the 18th recipient overall.

Truly a legend. This must feel so amazing for Lana to achieve this award, being one of only three American artists to receive it - especially those other two artists being Whitney & Mariah. Of course, we know Lana adores Whitney by her collarbone tattoo, and Lana stated on the 2018 GRAMMYS red carpet that the first CD she ever purchased was a Mariah Carey record. From growing up listening to legends to then becoming one right up there with them… congratulations Lana, so proud xx
