I think it’s sweet that earlier this year in May, presumably soon after her and Jeremy started dating, she stated that she wanted to visit McCreary county.. and now they’re honeymooning there!
I have a friend who is from Corbin, KY which is about 45 minutes from Whitley City where Lana was tonight (I actually went to Corbin back in July to see him for the first time in a few years as I used to visit Cumberland Falls State Park there with him and some other friends during some summers) and I texted him asking if he was familiar with Dairy Bar. He said he used to love going there for their milkshakes growing up and still stops by for one every now and then and was there a few months ago. He finds it very cool that she’s visiting such a small town! Can’t wait to see where else she stops by during her visit there. If she’s there for awhile, she may be able to catch the beautiful Moonbow at CF from the 15th-19th.. it’s one of the few places in the world where you can see one, and as someone who has caught it before, it really is a gorgeous sight x

Sweet is cute but I don’t think any song she releases now is ever gonna have the magic that video games has tbh. It really is a song that gives you nostalgia for a time you never experienced.

I feel like country music in the mainstream cultural conscience is over now…it had its moment earlier this year and was Lana’s chance to “ride the wave”, so to speak (even though she’s had her finger on the pulse, saw the country hype coming well in advance, and never needs to adhere to the trends in music), but now the window of country being the thing is kind of done. I guess she’s caught onto that - and the longer she DOESN’T release the album, the more time she has to tweak it. And life has certainly happened since she announced the record in January! So I’m imagining that songs addressing things that have happened for her since then exist. 
 
It’s kind of like how everyone was wearing cowboy boots a few years ago and it was a little fashion trend. I feel like nobody cares that much about cowboy boots anymore - at least not as much as they did in 2021, for example. 

You could see the fear in her eyes when she announced Lasso knowing Beyoncé was gonna take a hit out on her if it outstreamed Cobwoy Carter
