OMG. I remember the same thing except with the Billboard blonde photos. Also, every background of my phone and laptop was Lana.

Found her via YouTube and the OG Video Games video. I think I was 11/12? Honestly, it feels like my whole life at this point. But I did become less invested during the HM era, but then fell back in love with her more than ever with LFL and NFR.

I found Lana because Trixie Mattel did a cover of Video Games in 2020 and started listen to Lana sometimes, I fell in love with her a few weeks later after I heard Video Games again in Gossip Girl.

this was me when the pandemic started. I had been liking Lana for years at that point but it just came for my neck right then. That's what being locked in your room for several months does to your mental health

I won’t really type down how I became a fan (it’s written in some other, similar thread) but I just want to mention that I was about 17 when I first started to listen to Lana and became a fan. After reading the comments here, it feels like everyone became fans when they were 12 or 13, so I’m here to represent us “older” fans.  (“Older” in quotation marks because I know some here are older than me!)

Does any else miss when they were a brand new fan and still had new songs to discover? Like I’ll never forget hearing Shades Of Cool for the first time. I miss when I thought Born To Die was the best album ever lmao

Storytime! I remember after discovering her I downloaded an MP3 app onto my phone. Suddenly these titles I've never seen before started to pop up. I thought I was God and like discovered some secret vault with her songs! Then I went on YouTube and the dream faded so quickly. I miss being a kid.

yeah it was middle school when I was 11-12 that I discovered Lana  I remember asking my mom and older sister while being driven to school what "beat poetry on amphetamines" meant  honeymoon era during the beginning of 7th grade was monumentallll for me tho
