What they will argue is that you have to define what is the certification of the class of ticket purchasers. How do you measure the difference between a fan purchasing a ticket, and another purchasing for resale?

They luckily don't have that dynamical / changing price system Ticketmaster has.

And another suing over monopoly violations. The latter being hundreds of swifities and a few lawyers. The former a lawyer and four others. Ticketmaster will try to push the court dates as far away as possible.

We don't have a real chance with these kind of numbers. A 2016 investigation by the New York Attorney-General found most tickets are pre-sold. To re-use the example of the 2006 Rose Bowl, the stadium had 100,000 seats, but only 1000 went on sale to the public. "My lawyers were like, what about the other 99,000?" 2 Quote with the absolute heart of the poem of life butchered out of their own bodies good to eat a thousand years

I honestly don't know, but yeah exactly so- if it's Lana, then I'd rather just physically wait in line at an earlier date or something cus that's kinda- no that's just too much.
Quincy 4,400 Posted August 25, 2023 Why don’t more venues sell tickets directly? Is it too much to maintain a website with that bandwidth? Do they make a larger profit? Like why?

ultrabanisters 45,021 Posted August 25, 2023 the problem is the that ticketmaster is probably the only company that can handle selling tickets for as big as an artist as lana or taylor and not have major crashes or outages obviously the eras tour situation wasnt great but imagine that scale on a smaller ticket selling site or individual venue sites. it would be near impossible for the site to handle that many visitors i agree that ticketmasters gouging and practices are abhorrent and laws need to be passed regarding ticket reselling and fees/platinum prices but as far as servers go they are the best option for artists like lana regarding resellers i am a major advocate of other ways for fans to get tickets. i think presales for top spotify/am listeners are a great option, because i don’t think verified fan works at all. if there was a legal limit on the price tickets can be resold for (like 10% above list price), then it would discourage resellers from being able to make a profit and more actual fans can get tickets modern music has been built around the current ways of selling tickets, which is sad, but if we didnt have TM, we would probably be lining up outside the venue like the 60’s to buy tickets 5 Quote resident sweeter 24/7/17 - 9/7/23 - 10/7/
Psychedelic Pussy 30,108 Posted August 25, 2023 doesn’t Australia have a law that for certain concerts, tickets can’t be resold for more than 10% of the original price? I think they used that for the Taylor swift concert. America loses again!
