Gonna be very hard to move upwards from here, given that it's now generating less than 500,000 streams daily. That said, it's still doing better than even Let The Light In, Doin' Time, and Ultraviolence daily, so it'll crack the top 50 eventually. The song did really well overall.

tough being right behind A&W should be a crime. if tough passes it... 

A&W is one of, if not, her best songs lyrically. Tough is way more radio friendly (unless you cut out the first half of A&W) so the amount of streaming makes sense. stream numbers are just numbers at the end of the day, but it's a shame some of her best music gets overlooked

A&W di really well streaming wise, given its length and darkness. It's her 53rd most streamed song on the platform, and third off of OB. 

 

Tough will overcome it for sure (it's doing 5 times the streaming numbers), but only because it's shorter and more radio friendly.

 

Don't think about it much, it doesn't take away from A&Ws' success (one of the most critically acclaimed songs of the year with a Grammy nod to boot).

idk, comparing singles to album songs is like comparing apples to oranges and Tough is almost the only new release in 2024

it's clearly doing better than Take Me Home, but it was also released with more promotion

it's been four months since the release and Let The Light In had more daily streams after five months https://web.archive.org/web/20230820102340/https://kworb.net/spotify/artist/00FQb4jTyendYWaN8pK0wa_songs.html (SYTH at this point had the same total streams after three months and still over 1 million daily streams for the next months), and it falls behind Margaret in daily streams, another non-single from the album that had been released more than a year earlier

also, A&W is a 7-minute song and not as optimised for streaming as Tough at 3 minutes

Tough is NOT bad but it for sure ain't better than the songs it has surprassed...
