I don’t think it has anything to do with her being “available” for 99% of people who feel this way. It’s her marrying (not just associating, being friends, or even dating) a Trump supporter who liked/reposted some pretty nasty stuff that I don’t agree with at all. Everyone has their own right to feel how they feel about someone’s morals and political opinions and I’m tired of everyone on this site telling people that’s wrong. I think the healthiest thing to do is take a step back if you feel like you can’t support someone fully anymore, rather than staying an obsessive fan but at the same time feeling upset over everything she does. 
 

Also yes- I would feel this way if any artist I greatly admired married someone with these views.

I don’t listen to male artists who aren’t gay so I can’t speak to that but I don’t think anyone is mad she got married, it just maybe makes gay and trans fans like myself a little bummed she is married to someone who shared anti trans sentiments in the past

I can’t befriend anyone personally who is a trump supporter because of what he stands for- if you’re conservative then that’s whatever, but a specific vote for someone who initiated women’s rights being taken away even in cases where abortion would lead to them not dying, said outright racist views and raped women(confirmed in court proceedings) is not right.

Yep it’s infected the morons here in the Uk too- what exact policies of trumps are even defendable? The economy in the US wasn’t exactly booming with Trump and Kids were still being shot in schools with a healthcare system that doesn’t work.

although i've been generally positive... here are my thoughts on it all

 

i am very, very happy for her, it's clear that being married is something she's always wanted, and i can only imagine how wonderful she must feel right now, and i would like to believe she knows what she's doing and that she's making the correct choice, but i do find it concerning that she's marrying someone who clearly doesn't hold the best views, it really isn't about him being conservative, or being southern or whatever (also, hating on him for being southern, being some regular dude, or being more rugged is gross AF and very close-minded) and i know not every single trump supporter is automatically hateful or bad, some trump supporters probably aren't even that well-informed on politics and don't even know what they're supporting (i would know lol ) and i can't know exactly how he feels, or exactly why he supports him, but the hateful views he holds are very concerning, and i would find it quite disappointing if she knew about them, but didn't care, or felt that she could look past them

 

at the end of the day, she's going to be sharing her life with him, in so many different ways, they will share finances, their living space, sleep in the same bed, and possibly have children, and you cannot do that with just anybody, especially not someone who doesn't believe in your right to have an abortion if you need one, because, what if she got pregnant and something went wrong? sure, some conservative men perhaps will make exceptions for their wives, even if they don't believe others should have the right to it, but we don't know what he's like, and although OFC lana's not transgender, and maybe they don't know many or any transgender individuals, she's still with someone who clearly doesn't like them at all and has even promoted violence towards them, i wouldn't want to be with someone, especially so closely, knowing that they feel that way, it's not okay, and i doubt that she would genuinely be okay with that, at least, i hope not, i'm hoping for the best, but i hope that if anything comes up, and she's not okay with it, that she will be able to leave and come out of it unscathed, although i'm sure it would really hurt for her to have to go through that, considering how important it must be for her to get married, and to possibly have children, she is 39, and when you get older, having children can become more difficult, so i can understand why she just wants to find the right thing and to be able to have those opportunities, i just hope it works out for her
