idk why i can’t like the post (it happens every time with me now, mods fix this) but this is one of the most amazing, or even the most amazing, concepts i saw so far for this album. i love everything about this. would probably be my fav lana album cover!

If TRPWS follows the textless cover trend, istg I just need it to be like NFR! The covers tells a lot, is so dynamic yet so simple, it has a lot to tell and refferences, so i hope they do something it.

NFR! was timeless. COCC was a good Lana album though she should never have let her terrible friends be involved, but it wasn't timeless.

 

Blue Banisters was a good Lana album but an album clearly not compiled with a vision or goal, just a bunch of songs tacked together and released, some of them with awful sound quality and some of them clearly taken from YouTube. Not timeless. 

 

Ocean Blvd was a mid Lana album but the good songs were almost flawless and collectively better than Blue Banisters. But the collaborations were awful and ruined the album. It felt like listening to a mixtape of her friends at times. Definitely not timeless.

idk it seems like such a shallow way to approach art. Like “take out this collab and its a classic” who talks/thinks like that.. ocean boulevard is a body of work with a very strong creative vision, I don’t think it would be the same without a part of it however small. I understand disliking collabs cause some times I do that too but I don’t think they detract in any way from the brilliance or artistry of the album

It's not that they're collabs that make them bad. It's that the collabs just are not good. One of my favorite Lana songs is Dealer! If there were collabs on that quality, I wouldn't be saying what I am.
