I know we haven't heard much of whatever she's planning to put out but based on what we do know this "Lasso" / "The Right Person Will Stay" henry come on stuff was giving snoozefest and I hope it IS scrapped and she's working on music that"ll actually stand out in her discography and not watered down acoustic bullshit. Give us some edge, give us some storytelling, give us Zodiac tease SCREAMING FOR ME BABYYY hop in that studio with Mike Dean and put ur pussy in it a little. We wan't more of A&W, not more of Wild at Heart. Give us something excitingggg have an impact.

I always felt uncertainty on her part about this album, and honestly if she was really satisfied she would have already released a story with a snippet of this song or some crumb about it, lol. It was obvious that when she talked about lasso, it was very premature. She then said that big artists announced country albums and she was afraid that it would be too monotonous or not stand out with it, or just dont be well received, I hope that now (if it is discarded) she takes greater creative freedom and launches an innovative project, as she always does reinventing herself, and we REALLY want another zodiac, some psychedelic, hauting album. Whatever LDR10 can be, It will be incredible

I don’t really want zodiac because that song almost makes me sick, thinking about the victims. I would probably play it (often?) because it’s so hauntingly good but I definitely don’t enjoy listening to it… absolutely horrible, their fates.

But I kinda also do want it to get an official release just for the slim chance that a journalist would ask her about it, or read what the reviews would say, haha.

I think if she reworks the lyrics a bit to be more sensitive about the subject and censors the names with a "shut up, shut up" I wouldn't mind a release but as is I don't want it

To be honest I understand what you mean by that. It's a beautiful sound but I would prefer a similar sound to those in some songs, but I really dont know what to expect for the next record

Like, one of the things that makes me really like Zodiac is how she, somehow, stays true to herself, it’s not the first time she’s sung about prostitutes, or serial killers, or death in general, and the song really has all of those. And it’s a beautiful homage to the victims. But I just can’t tell if it’s a song born from Lana’s fascination for… whatever it is, or that she could identify with them in one way or another (all of them living in California?), or if she just followed the news, or… See, this is what I need a reporter to ask her about, if the song would ever see the light of day.

But it’s just such a scary, horrible, awful thing to sing about and I’m not comfortable with such topics, murder and serial killers, or dark stuff. x___x

I just want a Lana Del Rey album, not a Joni Mitchell/Patsy Cline/Joan Baez/whoever-else-she's-emulating album. It does not feel authentic, even though critics would probs view it as her most authentic work yet. And when I say that I don't mean that I want BTD/UV 2.0 or whatever. I actually think Ocean Blvd felt very authentic to her artistry and had what parts of Blue Banisters and COCC lacked.
