Rebel 3,176 Posted November 4, 2013 Oh, I like "Summerboy." It's so cute and cheerful, I love it! One of her funnier songs... What I like about Summerboy and a lot of songs from The Fame, but most prominently Summerboy and Eh, Eh is that they sound absolutely cute, but if you listen to the lyrics it's just about her sleeping with different guys and stuff. It's very Lily Allen... cute but if you really think about what you listened to, you're like, oh...

Creyk 11,677 Posted November 4, 2013 See, the problem I had with I Wanna Be With U when she performed it at SwineFest was for it's naive purity as a love-letter to the fans. I feel like her adding and changing the lyrics to talk about sobriety adds so, so much more to the song and its message. It's not about simply how much she loves her fans, but it's almost a desperation and battle between her fans and her alcohol or substance abuse. It's sad yet it's beautiful. I do wish she had kept the "I'd rather be poor and happy than rich and alone" but I'm glad she took out the cringe-worthy Born This Way reference. It lacked a structure and some sort of a punch in its original form, and having Rick Rubin produce it while changing the lyrics around made it really beautiful. *Tears* I get where you're coming from. The love letter to fans is a little outdone by her, but I actually really love the "cause I was born this way" line. Anyway, even though the lyrics of Dope are more sophisticated, what kills the song for me is the vocal delivery, and the instrumental. Just don't like it. But it's cool that you love it, and I admit it, the live version at the youtube awards is really good, I downloaded that one and I like that version a lot.
LanaDelRay 32 Posted November 5, 2013 I am so fab, check out, I'm blonde, I'm skinny, I'm rich and I'm a little bit of a bitch DONATELLA i would say the only ones I dont like is sexxx dreams (it was better live) and Swine. Jewels n' Drugs is a perfectly executed Hip Hop/ Pop song tbh. Donatella, Fashion!, Venus, G.U.Y, Do What U Want and Jewels n Drugs are the stand outs for me. She is so back. 0 Quote oh. my god. SweetLikeCinnamon 344 Posted November 5, 2013 The whole album is great. My absolute favorites would be Venus, Sexxx Dreams, DWUW, ARTPOP, Donatella and Gypsy. The only song I skip over is Fashion!

Creyk 11,677 Posted November 5, 2013 As I listen to the album more and more, I love some parts even more now. Like the first half of Sexxx dreams. I love the autotune on her voice. In swine too. The "cause I'm..., broken" part always gets to me: Did you see the reviews it got tho? The little monsters are NOT happy!

drewby 9,245 Posted November 5, 2013 it was pretty obvious tho, from BTW to ARTPOP ( a less serious album, more for clubs and having fun) no it's not different lyrical themes, it's how much she changed production from SwineFest or how "overdone" it sounds
naachoboy 7,993 Posted November 5, 2013 no it's not different lyrical themes, it's how much she changed production from SwineFest or how "overdone" it sounds but i wasnt talking about that lol(swinefest to album versions), i was saying that the critics are going to be hard this time toward gaga
