I'm actually liking this Best Friends more than the leak. Miss the voice cracks though

Make It Up was a dud since it leaked, same for Direction/I Told

it would already be a stretch to say, but I only really fw 5 of the songs (if you count Colors Meddle, not album).

I'm disappointed, but I've kept my hopes down since Serpentina.

Thats what her last couple albums have felt like. A lot of generic dull mid tempo tracks that don’t really hook me in enough. It just doesn’t sound very inspired, i dunno. 
 

The singles are very good though and i also like Make It Up.

Oh...I was so bored. I hope that she at least likes what she's doing now, cause to me her music is just sad after III. Feels like trying to recreate what was good once but not evolving at all and getting less inspired. It's inoffensive but also not interesting in any way. I would rate this album 50/100.

Not sure if I'm going to check her music from now on, kinda feels like a waste of time.

 Not a fan of I Hate Your Ex either.  But I didn't like it as a single either.

I think attempted to go outside her box a bit and I liked it enough. I liked Serpentina according to my AM, more.

Love is Unkind is kind of unneeded in terms of what's said on Fuck Love idk, just seems stupid and a re-tread. i like it better though i guess. maybe it's Holding Back that it reminds me of the lyrics of

River really isn't bad, it's just way too short for some reason and sounds unfinished, like she rushed to put the album out and didn't bother going back to finish it.

Delulu is an insta skip - the fact that a GD/LB word has made it to an artist's album is absolutely disgusting. ew.

Make it Up at least is better, more finished than the leaked version

Meddle in the Meddle is alright I guess. just weird instrumental with the sound of the song, but i like it i guess. the second half is better i think.

Direction was leaked with a different name I believe?? which is completely fine, i liked it i guess but it's a weird pick of leaks to release, same with Make it Up, weird pick to put out

IHYEGF is kind of alright I guess. Totally different from everything else on this album and it doesn't fit. Idk, it's just a weird album.

 

man, i wish she'd find a better way to blend that earlier sound into something new. she doesn't need to retread old sounds, but her voice is so good and unique, i just wanna hear it doing experimental shit again. that's what made a lot of the leaks so good and the first two albums good. serpentina was boring as fuck and this one just bland. it doesn't say much about anything and just kind of does the same thing over again but worse, unfortunately. i wonder what songs were left off of this album that she was considering. maybe after more listens, my opinion my change, but being a banks stan from day 1 it's hard to hear an artist you love go into a worse direction and release music that's not up to par with what she could make. maybe my standards are too high after lana and florence and billie and tove.
