DUKE 2,530 Posted August 15, 2013 I have found myself thinking about this quite often... but I always come to the same conclusion. Some might say it's a little dramatic and over-the-top for a funeral, but I like the chamber sound it has, and especially its lyrics! I think this is a wonderful message to send out at a funeral, since funerals aren't necessarily an event of joy. "You will never ever be forgotten by me in the procession of the mighty storm" - isn't it nice to have this sung at a funeral? I think it applies to both parties: the one who's passed and the attendees. "Carry" Love hold my handHelp me see with the dawnthat those that have leftare not goneBut they carry onas stars looking downas Nature's Sonsand Daughters of the HeavensYou will not ever be forgotten by meIn the precession of the mighty starsyour name is sung and tattooed now on my hearthere I will carry, carry, carry youForeverYou have touched my lifeso that now cathedrals of sound are singingare singingThe waves have come to walk with youto where you will live in the Land of YouthLand of YouthYou will not ever be forgotten by meIn the precession of the mighty starsyour name is sung and tattooed now on my hearthere I will carry, carry, carry youhere I will carry, carry, carry you forever

iseeyouupsidedown 931 Posted August 16, 2013 no but jk. I'll get back to you. If I had to pick a Lana song though, I think Bel Air would be a good choice. On a related note, I made the playlist for my mom's funeral! I tried to pick a mix of songs that she liked and songs that I like that I thought would just be good for the showing and fit her personality. The ultimate track however was definitely Dancing Queen by Abba. That was her song, she was the Dancing Queen. I remember that she loved that song and it was the first favorite song I had as a child too.
