There was also a time crunch and she was forced to pick between "Saddest Smile" and "Our Lady of Sorrows" to put finishing touches on in order to make the album. She picked "Saddest Smile", knowing that she needed extra time to finish "Our Lady of Sorrows" properly, rather than rush it and turn out something half-baked. Watching the vid I understand now why it took some time. In its final form its easily one of my favorite cuts from the era. If it were released in a lesser rushed state just so it could've made the standard cut then that would've been tragic- so I'm really glad she sat on it and gave it the time to fully flesh out. And of COURSE Tove was involved, a genius..
