I enjoyed SOME of the beginning of the album and then she lost me at Love Me 4 Me for four songs until Kitchen. This didn't sound like SOS or if it did it sounded like one style of song from it where as SOS was like a fun all over the place musically album so this one style of genre kinda disappointed me a bit. And unpopular opinion maybe but I think there's a missing art in writing now where they just put the vulgar lyric instead of a clever metaphor and I think it gets boring. 7/15 were really good though.

Def saving LANA separately in my music library, a 38 track album’s crazy. It also def just feels like its own separate project instead of an extension of SOS.

I placed Take U Down right before Diamond Boy and sonically the flow makes so much sense. What Do I Do, Diamond Boy, Boy From South Detroit, Scorsese Baby Daddy, My Turn, Cry Baby, Drive are my favorites- I think as a full LP it'll grow on me more. But I do hope she can create an album as immaculate as Ctrl again

This is the most insane take. Like, ever.

 

Ctrl was such a concise vision that is perfection from start to finish. The songs are weird, unique and beautiful. SOS and LANA have been a considerable dip in quality, despite having amazing songs, as SZA has dropped her weirder roots and become more pop oriented. 
 

I’ve been listening to Ctrl with my friends today and we’ve all agreed that SOS is such a bloated, strange and unfocused project. Although it’s still very good. 

 

Sorry, SOS and LANA have just really gotten under my skin because Ctrl is starting to look more and more like a fluke. And her rollouts of lies and delays are so frustrating as a fan 

 

But everyone can have an opinion 😁❤️ Just wanted to bounce off yours so I could say my two cents
