New EP is out! Eat your young is so good!  I listened through all the songs just a few moments ago, to wake myself up, so I didn’t try too much to catch every single line of the lyrics, but All things end and Through me sound good as well! Promising for the album, whenever that’ll be out.

Hozier interview with Rolling Stone UK! He talks about the EP songs and the album! Unreal Unearth is inspired by Dante's Inferno, and he says "we’ve arranged the album into circles and the EP just represents two of those"!

While keen to stress that the record is by no means a concept album, Hozier went on to explain how Dante’s Nine Circles of Hell had provided a handy framing device for the record. Specifically, the album reflects upon two of the nine circles of hell: gluttony and heresy.

“There’s a subtle element and I wanted to be light and playful with it. The album can be taken as a collection of songs, but also as a little bit of a journey. It starts with a descent and I’ve arranged the songs according to their themes into nine circles, just playfully reflecting Dante’s nine circles and then an ascent at the end,” he said.

“Because I think everyone went on a little bit of a journey over the last two years, everybody went through something changed, something about their lives, something about their work, something about themselves and came out the other side, slightly changed in some way, shape or form and that, it was sort of, that was just, that’s just how the album is arranged.”

I do actually like hozier and was a big fan during his debut specifically with small death/codeine scene, work song,jackie and Wilson aswell as in the woods somewhere are all classics. 
 

the rest of his work just isn’t that interesting to me though- movement was cute but yeah I just never felt like he progressed for me-still amazing talent though.

Not to be that person. The writing is a bit weaker than usual. HOWEVER, the messages are beautiful and so are most of the sounds. Son of Nyx is so beautiful.

Haven't had the peace or time to listen through the album in one go, in fact, I still have the very last track to listen to, buuuut I think everything sounds really great! The yellow vinyl was finally back in stock so I just placed an order. I tried to order one earlier this week, a signed yellow vinyl, but it got sold out as I was typing in my details! Son of Nyx made me cry on the train home after a long day and evening lmao. De Selby part 2 might be my favorite track though. Gonna watch the music video for it later. I'm very happy to finally have the album released! And I was pleasantly surprised to hear him sing in Irish! I think it was only a matter of time before he'd do that.

Maybe it's just me but I feel like he's had his heart broken in between this album and Wasteland, baby. I hope he's okay. :')

Just watched it in 4K, I really like it! Kinda wished it was in color instead of black and white though, but it does make the red flashes more intense, I guess.

What do you guys think the message is? Or the story? I'm not very smart so I'm just gonna say it looks like he's trying to bury and forget about his past (self) but it always comes back to haunt him.

after sitting with the album for some time i think that i really like it , one of my favorite releases this year

also do we think that he is going to end his tour in 2023?

I feel like he’s been everywhere in the US for this tour so I don’t think he’d go back for next year, but maybe some additional European dates? I’m not sure though, I think his last tour ended in December too, in Ireland.
