Although the 'Nabokov Whitman' one isn't really to my taste, I appreciate that she is probably honouring those who inspire her. I have 3 myself and I understand the need to either give yourself a permanent reminder, or to remember someone, or just any personal reason, really. Tattoos are a weirdly personal thing. Some people can't understand why on earth I'd have got what I've got (the way we don't really know why Lana has all these tattoos on her, although we can make a good guess) written on me, but to me that's the point. I will get 'art' from the autograph she gave me tattooed on my left arm. It's going to be small and pretty, and I can't wait to finally have a needle mark what's always been there.
