I just don't understand.. as a fellow long-time Charli fan, how do you not love Next Level Charli? it's a love letter to her fans - it's a lyrical culmination of everything she is as a songwriter. it's an homage to XCX World with the Bounce reference.. it's a stadium-sized anthem of a song that's basically the most euphoric chorus I've ever heard for the ENTIRE SONG!!!!! there's just certain songs that I feel like some of y'all fans claim not to like just to sound edgy, because it really makes no sense to me how anyone that has actually been a fan of Charli for all these years could dislike such a moment in her discography...

of course it's subjective!! when I was asking how you couldn't like it, I was genuinely asking. 

I feel like despite all the different sounds that Charli has played with, pop music at its core has always been there in some form or another. 

auto tuned vocals have also been a big part of Charli's music even since True Romance. Charli has always played with vocal effects, auto tune, vocoder, etc since the beginning.. it's a staple of her music, so I just can't comprehend why a Charli fan would take issue with something like that

I mean as for the rest, if it just doesn't sound good to you or you dislike the beat / melody then it is what it is. 

but to hate on the autotune or say the lyricism is bad when it's a beautiful letter to her fans + a culmination of the lyrical style that helped attract her hardcore fanbase since vroom vroom... those complaints just come off as "I'm too mature / smart for this" or just being one of those fans that only loves the first couple projects. idk 

 

don't get me wrong - I love when we all have different favorites and things we love about her music

I do like a lot of her projects and don’t actually know where this narrative has come from that I only like Sucker and TR. 
 

Theres people here who are vocal about only being here for the PC stuff so I don’t know why I’m exemplified for this? Regardless Crash has bops and I’m excited to see what’s next.
