None of it was ground breaking, even her style was a rip off of Bowie but just more drunk white girl. They both follow a descending pattern I, V, VIm, V, IV As Charli has no artistic ability whatsoever, she sings an Ab on a Bb, which is the only minor seventh that is actually in key with the song (every major scale has only one minor seventh completely in key) and, if you were wondering, is one of the many reasons why the song sounds so sad. If you try and play the chord pattern above without the V7 it sounds one why: however, when you play it with a Bb7 instead of a normal Bb... girl... Also, Lucky tangent aside, I really doubt Charli has no say whatsoever in the process. She's been making music ever since she was 16. She does contribute to her music and this is why she has been able to maintain the quality she has given us throughout the changes in styles. She hasn't always had SOPHIE and A. G. to PC the fuck out of her beats. The common denominator in her discography is Charlotte and her alone.
