lola 6,617 Posted November 24, 2012 I just watched "Donnie Darko" - I'm not sure what to say, I really loved the film, and I'm trying to 'figure it out' at the moment. But I think after one viewing it might just enter my all-time favorite films, something about it really struck me I'm really not into movies but Donnie Darko is one of my absolute favourites 1 Quote Caesar said he’d fall in love with me if I was older. Charlotte, as always, was brilliant and Kirsten was actually quite good. I think I'm going to watch The White Ribbon again soon. It's so hard to watch, but it's truly a masterpiece. Together, we've seen the complete film. I'm going to watch it again from start to finish. I really liked the pacing and I thought it was set up quite well from what I saw of it. Kirsten's character became increasingly more unstable. I was really not impressed with her at first, but as it went on, I thought she did pretty well by her standards. I was completely shocked that the cinematography was so polished and that music figured so heavily in it, as it was really a complete break from what I'm used to seeing from him. If you compare Antichrist and Melancholia, it's hard to believe they were directed by the same person. His next one sounds quite interesting and typically controversial. I think he was trying to recreate the warped sense of time people suffering from depression tend to have. I ordered the box-set few days ago and watched the first episode with a friend. But I couldn't stop since then... back then in 1994 it was argued it was Denmark's response to Lynch's ( ) "Twin Peaks" and it sort of is. I'm so sad that the series sort of abruptly ended. And some of the actors have passed away. That psychic old lady was so fun. USA even did it's own version of it called Kingdom Hospital.
