320kbps 3,649 Posted February 9 while i will agree that slut pop is obviously not kim's strongest, some of the takes on here are.... interesting to say the least. kim's not the first person to do this hypersexuality image, but the reactions to her doing it for an era where there are some artists who are praised for that being their sole image is.... funny to see to say the least. i see it as a a fun project with bops to dance to, not like i'm expecting top tier lyricism from this era. i'll enjoy listening to it on my way to and from the club while y'all hate!

slayyyngel 1,293 Posted February 9 Yall really missing the point extremely huh. Nobody in here said “making hypersexual music / videos / art / etc. is bad and tasteless” We said when Kim tries to do this, she does it distastefully. Especially compared to her peers. Her attempt at this sucks. Its generic and boring. Its too forced and tryhard. And again unlike her peers when she does it, she doesnt bring anything different or unique or exciting to the music. Its just a more generic watered down version of other artists hypersexual music. When Slayyyter released Throatzilla I didnt bat an eye. The production is unique and just downright killer, the lyrics and wordplay are clever. Slutpop is what happens when you tell a middle schooler who just learned about porn and cusswords to make an album about sex.

You guys really suck the fun out of everything she drops, Slut Pop is not meant to be high quality and have top tier lyricism, it's supposed to be trashy music for the club. If you don't like it then just move on? It's literally a EP/Mixtape for a reason cause it's meant to be made for fun She's doing a lot more for this era with higher quality photoshoots and even possibly getting music videos so I don't see how it's generic and boring. We haven't even heard what the new song's sound like maybe give it a chance before talking shit? The last album Slayyyter dropped could've been dropped by any other Pop girl and the old hollywood glam has been used so many times like nothing new was dropped on the table but I still loved it (Not to mention Slayyyters new era is like STARFUCKER all over again but with a GTA aesthetic lol). But if Kim doesn't serve unique or anything new then it's a problem like what?

Slayyyter’s new era isn’t like STARFUCKER at all lmao it’s very mixtape and MIA inspired

Slutpop is what happens when you tell a middle schooler who just learned about porn and cusswords to make an album about sex. This is my issue with Slut Pop 1 as well. It felt like it lacked the wit that sexual pop songs can have. Like Slayyyter does it here and there but Ayesha is the blueprint for doing something so trashy and so explicit and yet making it witty and biting. That's why I'm hoping Slut Pop Miami is an improvement since I know Kim has it in her to do something explicit and fun while also being less...reductive with the concept of sex. She was able to do it prior with Do Me, Death By Sex, etc. so I know she has it in her.

Glitter Boy 16,576 Posted February 10 idk I prefer all of her other albums over Slut Pop. a sequel is the least thing I wanted from her but werk I guess. anyways we got like almost everything intended for Problématique last year + a bunch of killer tracks on Feed the Beast so really I'm not one to complain. I'll just ignore SPM as I ignored the first instalment after the first and only listen lol 0 Quote "I'm wild, I'm free, no man can handle me"
Creyk 11,717 Posted February 10 If she wanted to release a sequel she could have done Turn Off The Lights volume 3....
