Am I the only one disappointed that she didn't change the tour lyfe and babies lyrics in HIAB? Like the songs is beautiful but its lyrical "construction" is very nonsensical, like talking about serial killers and those fans in the same song??

i like that NFR is a mix of a lot of things taken from different points of the era and at the same time remains cohesive. i feel like it was quite short to get done but still spanned over several months and since we had hints of it, i linked it to moments of my personal life and having the tour lyfe still be there is sort of completing the picture to me... it's like she acknowledges every part of the process. and i like that the album feels uncontrolled (the so-called production flaws or this lack of consistency)

that's an interesting way to put it, I would agree to some extent, but "cohesive" is not really a word I would use to describe that

Happiness is a Gutterslut  (jk I love the song) also changed production from January since her IG snippet just ends with "I just wanna dance with you..." whereas in the final version she added "Baby I just wanna dance" Also, does NFR's production on the final version sound different to anyone from the IG snippet?

well at least now we know it was delayed bc she was making changes/ tweaking the album. CinnaGod production changed since Oct 2018, as did HTD's. Happiness is a Gutterslut  (jk I love the song) also changed production from January since her IG snippet just ends with "I just wanna dance with you..." whereas in the final version she added "Baby I just wanna dance" Also, does NFR's production on the final version sound different to anyone from the IG snippet?

I don't know if it did change for fact, but it probably sounded different because it was just a recording from her phone? The piano progression before she sings "but you're just a man" sounded a bit more intense, now it sounds more subdued idk, it's hard to tell from that shitty recording.

Exactly, Lana was never an explicit storyteller, she's more of an abstract, symbolic one. She obviously prefers poetic images and concept-driven songwriting rather than detailed narratives. It's no surprise some lyrics don't seem 'cohesive'.

also, as much as i want her to drop the album early bc of the leak, i HIGHLY doubt she's going to. if anything, i feel like she might delay it, but that'll only backfire because it's just gonna leak in HQ before it drops anyways, so idk.
