That is totally me about Lana changing my taste in music! Before July 2011i will admit I was a big Lady Gaga fan. Now honestly, I just cannot listen to her music because I just don't like it. It sounds so basic and quite try hard. everything seems so forced + so damn fucking repetitive. With Lana I really started to appreciate more the lyrics in a song. She really drove me to listen to more folk music after I heard songs like Elvis, For K Part 2 Demo etc.

My dad told me this, "Lana needs to realize that the stuff shes hearing is from critics, not from normal everyday people. Shes really popular over here but she just doesn't realize it because all you see is the stupid critic shit"

You know, I really don't know the photographers at all. But I do have some favorites. The two photo shoots I have in mind don't have as much variation in styling as, say, the GQ shoot, but they were a part of my first impression of Lana Del Rey.

I guess I was excited about Paradise and in the hype of it I thought it was incredible, but looking back on it I'm a bit disappointed. I mean, it's exciting to have a new album and the songs are great~ but they weren't as spectacular as I anticipated.
