Serums usually corrects or fix problems within the skin, either if it's lack of moisture/oil or if it's suffering from acne or an uneven tone. I have dehydrated skin and use Decleor's Neroli serum just to give my skin that little extra omph it needs, under my moisturizer at night or day when my skin looks dull. I even mix in 2 - 3 drops into my facial primer before I do my makeup, it gives me a pretty glow. I swear by salon grade products, and judging by the Caviar Creme's ingredients list... meh, doesn't look like it's worth my hard earned bucks. I thought it would be filled with natures expensive goodness judging by the price. Maybe a dinosaur placenta or diamond dust. But nooo. A silicone based oil is next to water on the ingredients list, therefore making up for most of the creams content. All silicone or ingredients ending with "cone" does it just to stay on top of the skin. It doesn't have any effect since the molecules are to big to penetrate. Therefore, it doesn't really do anything either. 400 - 700 dollars for water, silicone and a bit of fancy smanchy plant extracts? Oh my Lana

She use shampoos from Shu Uemura, if we can believe her words, and she praise the shimmer and the volume shampoo in interviews. Now you can all go broke, but look as fab as Lana does

That's so stupid of the article writer. Lana knew the type of record she wanted, and she made it. She wanted busy lush sounds, and Lorde wanted minimalistic beats. They made what they intended, and were certainly not aiming for the same goal. I am confused about how these two artists are supposedly targeting the same people with their lyrics. One is about coming of age and being a 'average' teenager. The other is about good girls clinging to dangerous lifestyles.   What is the similarity?

Pure Heroine is such a great debut of a 16 years old singer and that's it. Lorde can really translate the joys and fears of coming of age in her lyrics and that’s why people can relate with them. Somehow its honest lyrics works in the first half but soon start to drag and it seems she’s singing about the same things over and over again and shows that although she is a great lyricist she lacks imagination – as Lana has proved is one of these things that can make a difference. 
 
She's stuck in this minimalistic sound because her label wants to play safe, but I have a feeling that the better is yet to come. Lorde just need some better melodies and to shape her sound.

But hey, the kid is only 16, so I'll give her a break. I remember when Tennis Courts came on the radio in Norway for the first time, and they commented that "it is a nice landscape, I like the tune, but it's clear that she's young." And ofc they compared her to Lana... LOL.
I just hope she'll develop in the right direction, and I'm happy for her success. Let's just pray she wont end up like Miley.
