Just noticed that she mentioned "Atlantic Group" in her missdaytona tweets, google gives me this:

    ATLANTIC GROUP (:II) -
240 East 31st Street, In the Sanctuary,
    (Betw. 2nd & 3rd Avenues) 10016

which is an open AA meeting.

Oh my god, this is the first time she mentions any specifics on the Beach Boys.

I knew it. I’m telling you, her favorite Doors song is Light My Fire.

she chose the name because it "reminded her of the glamour of the seaside. it sounded gorgeous coming off the tip of the tongue"

can you tell us how you got them yourself? i'm sure it wasn't easy, so perhaps only those with any sort of sleuthing savvy would really be able follow in your footsteps

I JUST WANNA KNOW HER <3

Posting screencaps of her status updates relevant to a specific topic of discussion is one thing (although I even have some reservations about that at times), but I think posting all of them en masse is a step too far. And even if I were going to do so, I still believe names and avatars of ordinary people should be redacted from them before being posted and there's just no way I'm going to take the time to do that for every screencap.

the assemblies of God seems like a v good possiblity! From the looks of it, it can be done on a larger scale, like a huge church service

Lizzy said she always goes on sundays to AG, assembly of God's calender - Prison Sundays /Mission Sundays and they also hold addiction groups, and maybe this is how she got involved w/ homeless outreach. there was one near soho that I found, on east broadway but I guess she was going in London..hmm

At first reading through them, it definitely sounds like she is referring to church, or some sort of spiritual group. But then towards the end it seems like she is talking about Arlene's Grocery?

A quick and unthorough google search containing " AG -the subject- and New York City-" provided nothing on Alcoholic outreach, Arlene's Grocery was the obvious, and there were quite a few things about "Assembly of God", churches in New York City.

Perhaps she was referring to both? AG church in her enlightened sounding statuses and comments, and Arlene's Grocery when talking accordingly?

Although, she could still possibly be referring to church when saying "all the cool kids are making the transition." Maybe she's talking about spiritual transition.

I suppose its not fair to rule out an AA-type organization though. Speaking of transition and whatnot.

Great find lola. This makes me think it probably was an AA group.

I wouldn't read too much into the God talk though. That commenter was a frequent poster on her wall who talked about God a lot, but it seemed more her thing than Lizzy's. (She chided Lizzy's foul language several times.) If this was an alcoholics group, their interactions suggest she may have been Lizzy's sponsor or some type of accountability partner. Read this way, one or two might even suggest minor lapses in sobriety. By the way, this person was also a Ford model, so that's probably how they met. Not surprisingly, Bob Leone also hit on her on Lizzy's wall.

Pretty sure "oba di" is just a misspelled reference to the Beatles' "Ob La Di".

Yeah, this is the one that's most problematic for the AA theory. Perhaps Lizzy used to chair an AA group in Soho?

This question was asked in the Lanalysis thread, but I think discussion about it belongs here, since I believe the question should be what is A.G., not who. In addition to her album credits, she mentioned it a lot on Facebook. Sometimes it almost sounds like a club or music venue (AG = Arlene's Grocery?), other times more like a support group or religious organization (AG = Alcoholics Group or Assembly of God?). Screencaps in the spoiler:

    Any theories?

"Anyway, the other day, Lizzy Posted an urgent plea to all her Facebook friends to please not accept any interviews from people trying to dig up dirt on her. This was shortly after the Saturday Night Live debacle and, honestly, I can’t imagine what kinda hell this girl was going through."

"she looked like a pinup model straight out of the trailer park" so amazingly accurate

It's gr8 that even tho that guy was sort of miffed w/ how things turned out w/ the way they worked together he still couldn't find a bad thing to say about her.

'i sent her some beats and she immediately started writing to them, apparently they were good for that. within two days she had written like FIVE songs'

there were even links to his beats before and after their session but they're dead now =(

some interesting tidbits from older S moda interview (this isn't really sleuthing but I'm really bored)

Hard to find your hometown, Lake Placid. It is very small, just 2,000. No great city. I imagine it kind of like Twin Peaks.
Yes, exactly like Twin Peaks. I was hoping to get out and get to New York because that felt like heaven. I liked going to the corner store and having a man tell you [in Spanish], “Hello beautiful, how are you?

Do you have time to see real-life friends?
I have a small group of friends that have nothing to do with music. My friends are good girls, with their feet on earth. One works in real estate, one at Bloomingdale’s, another is head of marketing … Miss them.

What do you think about the mainstream divas, Beyoncé, Rihanna …?
Never commented that subject. It’s hard for me, everything I say is taken out of context. Too bad you asked me! The interview had gone so well so far …

    You always felt different?
Yes, always. So I wanted to study philosophy. I was overwhelmed by the world and I hallucinated things of concern to other people: what do we do now, where do we go on vacation?, Do you like my shoes? I, however, was always looking for a guide, a sign, a higher power.

^^ sry but that just comes across as so holier than thou

Maybe she IS in touch with the disconnect between her feelings and the reality, and this is just her way of saying, well, it meant something to her? ISTM Lana often uses the idea of love as her muse, so I'm not as surprised that she'd be willing to put that sort of self-revelation out there. It seems consistent enough with "making her life a work of art." (Even if family relationships, beefs with friends, etc. wouldn't be as much a part of that vision.)

you guys, i've been thinking about something...do you really think NOTHING happened between lizzy and jimmy? i'm inclined to believe maybe it was a fling, or not even that, perhaps they just kissed once, but that maybe it was blown out of proportion in her mind because she fell in love and afterwards, when he blew her off, she just couldn't let go. i mean, she posted the obviously-about-jimmy "yayo" on his FB wall! she may have been lovelorn, but was she so out of touch to write songs about a fantasy and share them with him? i have my doubts. our kind source @ that spoke to his son's GF (or someone who knows gnecco) could just have the "official story"...maybe jimmy was in a relationship at the time so his little lizzy affair (or less than) was kept on the down low? how could we possibly know? i just find it hard to fathom that lana would expose herself so much to even use a JG lookalike for 2 of her videos - which jimmy would obviously see - just over an imaginary love! because this isn't like "so legit", which i'm pretty sure was hacked from her email or shared with very close friends because it wasn't meant to be public...this was everywhere, from her demos to her higher profile LDR songs

Are you saying she posted the Yayo video on Jimmy's facebook page not as a girlfriend, but a crazy obsessed fan girl?

    Dude.

I already think K is just a fantasy, and now this >.<

I'm 70% sure that her "relationship" with Jimmy Gnecco it's pure fantasy.

Even tho she met Reeve and they were friends, we don't have a photo with Jimmy.

The only "proof" that we have it's the song & that Bradley looks like him.

However the other day I was looking around the Jimmy Gnecco tag on tumblr, and a lot of Gnecco's girl fans have the song like their anthem. So it makes me think, "What if Lana is a big fan of him and she made up everything?".

Other thought that I have on my mind it's that somebody said that Jimmy's band was the opener for some singers like Marilyn Manson & Axl Rose, and Lana knows them. But we know that Lana it's the new IT girl so that kinda explains why all those Rock Singers are after her.

I was thinking about what tied the whole trilogy together and when TV in Black & White leaked the line "troubles come in threes" really stood out to me. Maybe the trilogy is about the main troubles of her life (weaved in with honouring love lost, etc): BTD is about addiction and death; BJ is about K going to prison; VG is about her having to let go of her career ambitions because things weren't going anywhere and "relaxing into a more simple life".

She directly lied about it in her Oct. 7, 2011 Complex magazine interview:

The interviewer's use of the word "mostly" and that he asks two questions about it are really telling to me.

Interestingly, it looks like Lana and her management tried to fudge her age by two years early on:
Sept. 27, 2011 NME article calling her "24-year-old Lizzy Grant" Oct. 6, 2011 GQ magazine article calling her a "24-year-old woman" Nov. 29, 2011 Clash Music article: "the twenty-four-year-old’s startling talent"

Well unless "My Momma" is aimed towards someone else , it's pretty clear how she (used to) feel about her: "Me and my momma, we don't get along"

Here's a photo of her with suga daddy

I don't know much about her mum, but she's alive! Chuck posted photos with her on instagram this year. Does anyone else find it weird that Lana's dad goes to shows and stuff but we've never seen her mum there?  (sorry if this is wrong)
