I agree, her doing spoken word would be AMAZING- something kind of like Jim Morrison's An American Prayer album. I'd die and ascend to heaven in an instant if that happened

I think my biggest hope for LDR5 is that it's a fun record. I haven't felt a lot of whimsy or fun in Lana's work since BtD, honestly, which is okay-- Paradise, UV, and HM are all very rich, beautiful, but pretty serious albums, whereas Born to Die had a lot of playfulness and flirtatiousness that made it very exciting, even in tracks like NA and Blue Jeans. So did AKA, and a lot of the unreleased. I'm not saying she needs to put out a purely pop, dance-y record, but I would like a return to some excitement and attitude in her sound, which seems like the direction LDR5 could be going in, judging by certain *winks* and some of her insta vids.

    Fingers crossed

I'm a super visual person and I really want to think of the colours of the album because it's one of the most important things for me (especially since Lana says she's synesthetic I think, or at least she thinks of songs in colours), it can really shape an album and my vision of it, but it's really too soon I agree with Young And In Love having tones of orange and lavender, basically I'm thinking pale, summery colours for now, not too happy not too sad. For me Born To Die was sky blue and white, Ultraviolence was black and white, Honeymoon was dark blue ( ) and red, and I have a weird hunch that LDR5 will have some kind of the same colours as Honeymoon but much paler and toned down idk. Also if it's reminiscent of the 5 untouchable, when I listened to them the first time I immediately had a gold colour in mind, it probably means nothing but I'm curious to see if she thought about the colours of the songs.

Beyonce' channeling Lana on the Grammys with her spoken word intro / out  makes me want more more more Lana spoken word

or perhaps Lana reading the lyrics on a separate bonus disk
or book of poetry with accompanying cd spoken word

and interesting that Weeknd was on live, with Daft Punk, yet the entire Starboy lp will be on the 2018 Grammy's next year as it came out in Nov. after the deadline for tonight's show

Not sure if this belongs here but I edited a picture of what I think LDR5 will be like visually. Blue and orange tint, daisies, 70s vibe etc. Idk lol.

If she does a 2.0 kind of album, then it just makes the original album that she's copied look less important and less special. Nothing good comes out of a 2.0. If all her albums are different then you'll appreciate them much much more. I know why some of you would want this though, because i love UV too and the thought of another album similar to that one is truly exciting. But she can't go back to that now. It's in the past.

It reminds me of when fans want celebrities to go back to acting the way they used to, like when people say they miss the old Miley, and how they just want everything to not change. I think change is always positive though, we might miss the past. But that's the beauty of it all. It's bittersweet and nostalgic. It won't be the same once repeated and it would ruin everything.

    RANT TIME ************************

I am annoyed at the idea she would have any sort of collaboration with any singer on her album. I don't want her to collab with FJM, Marina, or anyone else because Marina doesn't fit her and I can't imagine her doing a feature with another female singer, it's just not lana for me. And I honestly would be annoyed is she continues covering nina simone when shes not really doing it justice. I don't want any covers unless she does something by peggy lee, other than that I am not here for it.  And FJM is your token hipster try hard and let's be real here, we would know nothing about him if it wasn't for her. He is overrated and will only bring her project down. Her promo or lack of is honestly a mess. Since 2013 it hasn't been persistent or direct in success and I have come to the conclusion that she doesn't want to become a sell out or have so much exposure. I feel like she is right where she wants to be. Because if she wanted to be as big as a britney or your token popstar, we all know she has the chops vocally and thematically to do so, but she doesn't want to. She has matured her direction and likes her fanbase and touring pattern. But her album sales and promo have been going down year by year. I am personally annoyed by her management for not being as active as they one were in her new project and letting things leak and letting whoever have access. I am starting to question the trustworthiness of certain producers, labels, and people on her immediate team as to what their intentions are. Our girl needs to get this sorted because if she waits any longer without any form of notice it is bound to leak. Her managers only come in after something gets out and they aren't doing their job. She doesn't do promo because she doesn't want to or doesn't have the guidance/resources to do it where it would come into comparison to her promo in 2012. And promo is a big deal. Because 85 percent of the people in her fandom would not know about her including myself. Without promo this applies to most artist who are semi new.

Additionally people are hating on the idea of a "Snoozer album" or a "honeymoon pt2". I want to let you know that I feel she might be doing this new album in a similar direction of hm in a way that will progress this story even more. So if your against it being dreamlike or similar in california style that shes moving towards, you aren't supporting the story progression and you should honestly listen all over again to her album and see where shes going in the story. Also people expecting it to be like born to die in the sense of fast pace and hip hop style. HAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA That would make her plummet even more, you are kidding right? She came in 2012 at the perfect time with the perfect sound that tied in her theme. She can't just revert back to that time and then automatically have success.

Please don't be silly in expecting anything besides something lana would do because she sticks to her story and thats why I love her. The album will not be coming any time soon, especially after all the mess that happened. And give her time, mind you BTD took collectively 10 years to be made considering all the label shopping around, outtakes, and such and look at how great it was. UV took collectively three years and look at how impressed we were with her. Give her time.

    I disagree.
the earlier songs have to be considered the first chapter, if for nothing else than for
    YAYO
Because YAYO showed that the concept the sound the writing the arrangements the music the whole works was 100% Elizabeth
and it is the conduit to everything that happened later on

and that Lana brought it back to her live shows with just a guitar, no band, shows the importance symbolically

YAYO in any version is a masterpiece
    but with all the
    s
    h
    i
    t
Lana got from the haters/critics at the start, YAYO proves they were all 100% wrong in their lies

I know @elle considers it her favorite and one thing is very true-
If Lana never did any other song but YAYO she would still be one of the greats of all time on just that one song...sure would love if someday someway that song comes back, perhaps as a song in some tv show or movie
    Just the phrasing alone.
and I really do not think anyone else could sing it. It is 100% Lana.
