Lana and Sean Larkin at Central Park in New York City - September 23, 2019

We are humble children of God. We revoke the devil's grip upon his tainted lettuce. We ask that our Lord, Jesus Christ, save the youths of today from the unholy smokes of hell. Satan will kneel before our Creator and tremble at His grace. We are God Warriors in this house and discussions about "weed" will not be tolerated. We Evoke Eternal Damnation Weed is anti-Christian. Weed is anti-God. Weed is anti-America. -

He's a cop from a corrupt district that went onto Fox News to claim that "bad media coverage" (meaning reports of police brutality) are causing cops to fear using deadly force, as though that's a bad thing. There's also a loooooot of pro-Trump tweets he's tagged that are linked to his deleted tweets, so he's probably a Trump supporter. Being a friend of a cop was a loss for the fanbase but her support of him is a loss for the culture. I can only assume she relates to his personality on some level. Delusions of Police Kindness, issues with profiling - none of which would be a talking point if we weren't speaking about the man she's dating. If you think it's alright to support someone who assumed a black man was apart of a gang because of the color of his shirt - then you need an intervention as much as he does - something so many bootlickers will never get because there just isn't enough help for the issue. Message sent with concern that will never be addressed.- 422 replies

Have you read any of Angela Davis' works? She was my introduction to Marxism. I highly suggest Are Prisons Obsolete, Women Class & Race, Freedom Is A Constant Struggle, and The Meaning Of Freedom & Other Difficult Dialogues.

Ask anyone outside of the queer community about her and they'll say her music is for "basic white girls" This is largely due to the cultural shift in music, style and aesthetics that took place among women after her music was released. The idea of her music being specifically for sad depressed girls is so common that even in metal spaces, where people don't know that I'm a fan, I get told to listen to her because I can't handle "real music" (which is due to a whole other level of misogyny and shit but that's a whole other conversation) Every reference I've seen towards her in tv shows is based around the idea that her music is for sad, lonely, depressed, teen girls / young adults. It just makes sense that she would mention women and girls if that's the main view of her fan base. Plus, as far as we know, Lana isn't queer in any sense. She may view her music as a representation for women's experiences and her wanting to acknowledge that, especially as a woman, isn't wrong. As YUNGATA mentioned, there is this thing that happens in the media, especially in the pop music scene, where women's contributions to pop fan bases is ignored completely. Hell, I've had someone on here ask me why I'm a member of this forum because I'm not a gay man, as if I can't be an active fan on here? They always questioned if I was queer enough to be a pop fan, which... sjlkfdg I'm neither cisgender nor heterosexual and that shouldn't determine if you fucking like a pop singer or not lol. Anyway, yeah, Lana could be more vocal about queer stuff, but not at the cost of ignoring other folks in the fan base. Like I get it, I really do. I get why people want this mentioned. I want it mentioned more, especially since I'm part of a demographic that's nearly never acknowledged by anyone. But it's still partly coming down to some of y'all wanting Lana, a woman, to mention men before women... which..... *sigh*

Norman Fucking Rockwell - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll

I think Cinnamon Girl is my least favorite on the album. Title track and California are my favorites. I used to hate Venice Bitch but I love how it flows on the album, I still don't like it as a stand alone track. -

The Sparkle Jump Rope Queen page was created on May 30th 2008 and the last login was April 22 Her playlist says it has 4 songs, but only 3 are visible Has anyone figured out what the 4th song was or if there ever was one? -
My album predictions: References towards 40s-70s American culture, specifically relating to Hollywood and the most popular musicians. Lyrics that mention red, black, or blue clothing A song that some will considering a bop, while others will consider it a flop Music videos using various 'vintage filters' Lyrics will include the words baby, blue, crazy, and die References to alcohol Rhyming Bacardi with party A song featured on a soundtrack that I probably will view as 'meh' Someone will say "this is her Lizzy Grant era!" while another will say "THIS IS HONEYMOON 2.0" I will go on a 6 paragraph rant about one minor reference she made The cover will be shot by Chuck Grant Rob will post various supportive tweets Pat's Facebook will remain silent because "me and my momma we don't get along" Lana will have one folkesque song that someone will compare to Sirens She'll record a song with Barrie because I love their voices together and, even if they aren't meant to be as a couple, the opportunity to be friends is still there and I just really want Summer Wine 2.0

Things I'm reading this month because I can't control my comic spending habit at this point so why even try? Abattoir - 10/10 horror comic I happened to find at 2nd & Charles. First time I went I found 1-4 for super cheap, went to buy the last 2 online, but they were eeeexpensive. Went back to 2&C about a week later and found 5 & 6 Angel City - 7/10 It's a 1930s Hollywood Noir story. I haven't finished it yet, but I found issues 1 & 2 for 50c and it was good so far Avatar: Tsu Tey's Path - 6/10 I'm taking a break from it since I feel like I need to rewatch the movie to get back into it, but the first 2 issues were prety good! Bad Luck Chuck - 8/10 A born with bad luck gal does crimes and stuff. I like it Batgirl - 10/10 I have her in my pullbox, because duh, and am taking a break to re-read through Cassandra Cain's series, but the covers are giving me life! Calamity Kate - 9/10 A bad ass monster killer, of course I love it. Canto - 8/10 I just started it today and I can see myself becoming a huge fan of it! Coffin Bound - 10/10 Please read this! Crow vs Hack/Slash 7/10 I'm a Hack/Slash fan and don't give a shit about the crow, so... at least I have some more Cassie until a new series starts! Fairlady - 4/10 I thought I was going to love this series, but it ended up just being okay. I kept reading up to the end of this arc to see if my feelings of it changed, but nah. Faithless - 15/10 One of my favorite currently running series. I absolutely ADORE the art. Gogor - 8/10 It's a fantasy story that's targeted more towards kids, but it's still really good. Headless - 2/10 I thought I would like this a little more, but the first issue didn't impress me at all. The art style was okay and the story was... okay... Also, the comic itself smells really weird? Hellchild: Blood Money - 7/10 I feel like at this point in my life I'm just too invested in the Zenescope universe to not continue reading and loving every character they put out Killers - 8/10 It's about former assassins, which is neat! I'm extremely excited about issue 2 Mary Shelly: Monster Hunter 10/10 - I fucking LOVE this series even though no one agrees that it's good lol. The art is fantastic... even though that's everyone's biggest complaint lol Pretty Violent - 9/10 It's a story about a little girl who wants to be a super hero but fucks things up & kills everyone along the way lol Punk Mambo - 6/10 It's a cool story with magic and stuff, but if it starts back up I don't think I'd continue reading it. I liked it, but I didn't love it. Reaver 9/10 - I waited a fucking month for issue #1 to come in because it was sold out everywhere but I understand why. 2 issues in and it's already one of my favorite releases this year! Resonant 10/10 - It's a unique survivalist story that I'm absolutely in love with. ROSE 1000000/10 THIS IS LITERALLY THE BEST COMIC SERIES I'VE READ IN YEARS AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH AND I'M ON ISSUE 12 AND SJSOFJDG I JUST LOVE IT AND HATE MYSELF FOR NOT STARTING IT SOONER!!! Sea Of Stars - 7/10 It's about a space trucker who loses his son during a mishap, but he isn't aware his kid is okay. It's cute. I like it. Not sure if I love it? Sonata - 6/10 I really want to love this series, but it's not clicking. I'll probably keep reading because my partner is reading it. Space Bandits - 10/10 Sexy space criminals Sunstone - 100/10 Sexy kinky newbies who are funny, kind, and all around great. This should be the standard for all things kink related. I just finished up Vol. 1 today and wow, I'm so happy with it Unearth - 5/10 - I'm going to give it another issue to see if I want to continue reading it or not, but I probably won't. it's okay, but, just not clicking? Unnatural 10000000000/10 Outside of Batgirl, this is probably my favorite series of all time! I'm so sad it's ended, but it was so perfect and beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend it. It's 12 issues (3 volumes) of pure beauty. The Unsound - 9/10 I think I finished it earlier this month or the end of last month? Either way, it's really good! There were times I was a lost, but, a second reading really helped me through. It's about someone working at a psychiatric hospital and there's magic and weird and creepy things White Trees - 10/10 It's a 2 issue mini series that started last week. I really loved it. It's like all of the best parts of the fantasy genre without the extreme use of magic.
