I don't dislike it, but I wouldn't really care if I never heard it again

I know the album's supposed to be well for Summer, but listening to it during the late latter half of the year last year just jived so well. Listening to it during drives in between holiday parties just elevated it so much. I wonder what it would've felt like if it snowed.

    Happy New Year LB

I just started off 2018 with "Salvatore". So this will be a good year for sure.

I listened to the entirety of Honeymoon last night with surround sound, noise cancelling ear-muff style headphones and I actually heard so many things that I forgot about when I would normally listen to it on vinyl or standard earbuds.

The production is so articulate and truly her best, there are some hidden details that you will miss if you're listening with earbuds. Her vocals are absolutely phenomenal.
I just love Honeymoon so much, it truly is, in my opinion, her best work.

After lust for life, I’m starting to dislike her voice on her previous record, mostly born to die and the unreleaseds. She is so natural now, and now I can see how her voice was kinda annoying with that drunk style. Still love her old stuff, but I wish she always singed like she does now

Even though it's not likely, I really hope Lana wins the Grammy! The gp would finally believe that she's a very talented artist and it would be really big promo. Might push the album to go platinum. I think even if it doesn't win, the album will get exposure out of being nominated .

"Okay, so “crossing the threshold” was actually a reference to this little concept, or diagram, that’s called “The Hero’s Journey.” This writer, Joseph Campbell, came up with this little model. And it’s all about this character who has a lot of trouble at the beginning of the story, and then somewhere in the middle of the story, crosses the threshold to sort of face the monster, or the challenger, and in the end hopefully emerges triumphant once he’s beaten the bad guy or whatever. And I had been talking about that with my engineer, and I thought: I don’t usually use metaphors, but I loved the line “crossing the threshold,” and I wanted to bring it into that song I’d already started writing. So I changed those first few lines, so that woven in would be the idea of the hero’s journey. Because I really liked the idea of changing your own past. I think that’s what I wanted to do. I didn’t really know if I had control over doing that for a long time, and yea, I didn’t know what would be on the other side of me making a couple of really strong personal decisions and statement. Even just using my own voice to talk about stuff, that was different from “Love.” And I didn’t really know how the whole thing would go. But I liked so much that it would be my authentic voice at the time, so I just decided that to write what I was feeling was important enough to cross that threshold in the music. It’s kind of hard for me to explain, because there’s so many different levels to it: like, I’m making literary allusions, but I’m also really trying to make changes in my own life. It’s hard to articulate it eloquently!"

I just remember reading people saying that no one would remember her in five years after Born To Die, but look at her now: Still shining.

13 Beaches is the best song ever off of Lust For Life. don't @ me. the noises added, the piano, the dark sound, her FUCKING VOICE. it brings me to actual tears when i can feel how much she has been dying for something real. a true, iconic, song.

btw ladies, i had this thought. has Lana ever been an opening act for someone?
  16. CatchTheBreeze liked a post in a topic by AphroditeBaby in What song(s) got you interested in Lana?
If I remember correctly, I listened to National Anthem on YouTube (saw the MV) and thought it was such a damn bop, I listened to Born to Die (Deluxe) on Spotify.
Then it made its way onto my phone and was my most listened to album of 2012.

Didn't stan though or know anything about her at all, I kind of just mindlessly listened to her music.
Then Young and Beautiful and Paradise happened. Didn't notice Paradise, but DIED at Young and Beautiful, its such a beautiful song. It made me go back and re-listen to Born to Die and then Paradise actually paying attention to the lyrics and I fell in love with her lyricism and story-telling.

Then Ultraviolence came out. I was lurking on basically every forum possible and getting HYPED, and I was ready for it to be full of dark bops just like BtD and Paradise, but then we got the leaked snippets and I was like "oh no this is a mess other than West Coast"
Then I heard the whole album and every single song connected with me. I was supposed to go see a movie with my friend we had waited like 3 weeks to see, but instead I lied on my bed in the dark and listened to the album with headphones on and cried (like, cathartically) about how beautiful the album was. It kind of ressurrected my soul and (perhaps ironically?) saved me from my suicidal 2014 summer blues. I probably listened to that album start to finish like, 4 times a day. It was a narco-swing haze of emotions and it really just hit me at one of the lowest points of my life. It's a bit hard to explain psychologically why it was helpful (instead of pushing me further into depression rip) but that's for another day. That's when I knew I was a stan for life. I didn't really "follow" the BtD or Paradise eras, so I've never really been disappointed in the marketing and promotion since then, only sad that others don't get to appreciate her.

what i don't get is why she's using fillers when her face objectively looks so much better without them. is it just a case of not being able to see what's really in the mirror? weird

she needs to stop with the fillers

she needs to follow in courtney cox's shoes

look how inflated she looked before with fillers (her face looks exactly the way lanas does now) and now she stopped and her face went back to its original state

the members who say lanas face looks the same as it did before 2015 are lying to themselves

I really wish she would stop doing shit to her face, I mean the lip fillers look decent but the other stuff is not needed she looks way better without it
