"Considering" releasing an album with 25 unreleased songs .... I'm just going to assume "considering" means it'll never happen
Inb4 1000 pages of "I hope LIB is on it"

Anyone else think this song would be much better if it was acoustic?

I really really love the scream samples throughout the songs on BTD, they make the songs more chaotic and sinister somehow

She could do WAY better with her merch store. I swear fan-made shirts and accessories sell 1000 times better than her official store. probably better than her album sales

I think the Freak girls get very close to ruining the music video. Actually, they kind of do. The concept, after all, is about being in an exciting but ultimately deadly cult and there's very little they do that shows they understand that is the role they are supposed to be playing. Their vibe/look/acting is just completely wrong and feels much more modern LA girl than something that would fit within the context of the video. One of the girls in particular keeps looking at the camera excitedly like literally every 3 seconds as if she can't get over the fact that she's in a big budget LDR video and that degree of self-awareness is really distracting.
It just sucks because I really like the concept they were going for and Lana and FJM both played it well, but if they had just made some adjustments (/recast the girls) and looked more mysterious, subdued, hypnotized, slightly afraid--something to signal they were in the middle of a tragic cult, it would have brought the video more to life and furthered the vision, as opposed to coming off as Lana/Chuck's friends crashing the set one day.
God I'm so bitter sorry.

I'm pretty sure it's not going to be on the album, and if it is, one we have rn maybe is a demo. It sounds way too demo-ish (to me) to be on her final album, especially if you compare the production to Love.

I remember I used to love coming on here and finding stuff had leaked. Now it's annoying and I worry about Lana just packing it all in.
This question might be dumb but how do they actually hack in and get the music? Who is supposed to be keeping it safe??

Wow. This song is a masterpiece. Stunning!!
But I really need to get back to my assignment that is due tomorrow and I haven't even opened a document for yet, since I've been following all this drama the last few days.
I'll probably get 5% but hey at least I will be listening to a new Lana song while I do it

UV (song) could have gone viral for like a month with a controversial video. The lyrics were enough problematic to gain attention.

Lana needs to continue this style of lyricism. It's much more open to discussion and interpretation than "stranger than a stranger", per say.

See, this is what I missed from Honeymoon - all the interpretations and the fascinating storytelling. Don't get me wrong, Honeymoon is a fantastic album and every song is good (well, if we're pretending good sis DLMBM doesn't exist anyway) .... but for me it lacks a strong storytelling component like Fine China and UV and even songs from BTD/Paradise. It kinda felt like the one album lacking in this sort of storytelling, which for me is my favourite thing about her music.
Lana really can write amazing lyrics when she wants to. I really hope LDR5 delivers with at least a few songs with lyrics as captivating and beautiful as these. Just look at how many different comments this page has already received - because it's such a brilliant and cleverly constructed piece.

Omg this thread is literally the biggest mess in LanaBoards history and that's saying something... Remember the scat gifs in the Honeymoon thread.

I feel like UV was angry & raw, a bitter response to how she'd been treated by some following BTD/P
Honeymoon (to me) felt like resignation and doing what the fuck she felt like. Putting the anger behind her and disappearing more into her beautiful/tortured 'world'. I kind of feel like God Knows I Tried is the touchstone of the album, even if it's not a stand-out track.
I feel like the new album will be the next step but I have no idea what that could be - a return to a more radio/chart-friendly sound, or further into her own aesthetic?
(I do wonder about the (pretty dubious) references to 'Diana' and 'Monroe' tho - if real, does she see herself in a similar way to these doomed, troubled, prematurely dead figures? That could be a bit...off, if not handled carefully.)
