I feel like this song is kinda Lizzy cheering up herself. Lizzy before she became Lana. Lizzy dreaming of being Lana and something went wrong at that time. Powerful message actually - to never stop believing in yourself. And even if you fail - if your dreams don't come true - peace in life is all you need to be happy

i literally made the therad for the clash few weeks ago and no one replied lol
both my parents are punk fans so i pretty much grew up listening to punk bands, especially the clash
i love punk - the clash obv, sex pistols, ramones, the exploited...
as much as proto-punk - lou reed, the velvet underground, new york dolls, iggy pop etc
and some of post-punk - joy division, the smiths
but i hate metal music, idk why, i just cant stand it
i also don't like 'classic rock bands' like guns 'n' roses, led zeppelin... the only 'classic rock band' i can stand is ac/dc (but their early records tho).
and i'm a sucker for the beatles but i'd rather consider them rock and roll than "classic rock" although many "classic rock fans" would probably argue

no, actually she wanted to make a totally different song with him but he died before it happened so she decided to put the verse "while i sing lou reed" to brooklyn baby, at least that's what i heard!

honestly, why isn't this song more popular in lana community? das THE SHIT! the lyrics are so beautiful and sad, almost heart-breaking... especially the part "My dreams are bigger than your junky pride" ... it's such an amazing story about a woman who loves her man but can't watch his drug addiction, they are growing apart, she needs to move on because she cannot help him...

some of you are too sensitive especially when it comes to your faves
Die Antwoord's whole career and image is based on CONTROVERSY and being problematic lol

it's the playlist i made for my story that's called "Innocence lost". it is happening in the early 70s and it's a story about young artists who fall in love, they marry each other, have a son, but he's a junkie, they have problems with finding jobs etc. and in the end they finally gain fame but their love is wasted. they get divorced although they still love each other, they just can't be together anymore :)
i even made a booklet if anyone's interested:
