I had a feeling she'd do that somewhere on the album. Lana is incredibly smart imo and she's not shallow. Plus all the secret hints on social media. She had been hinting us the whole time probably Telling us the world is ours, that we make a difference. It's very democratic reallyNot the whole song ofc, just here and there we're part of the past, and now we're the future as well is a strong hint. She gets it.

Yikes that's so true. But I have the HM regular vinyl and looking at it on a large hard copy, it made me realise that it has symbolism. There's lots of hints in HM songs about lana not wanting the spotlight, and her being a passenger on the tour bus reflects that. The colours reflect the song themes too but ehh, enough analyses, exclusive cover all the way! Omg exactly. At first I was like EW she so fake tanned and airbrushed, but that's cause it's perfect paradise duhh. I hope the new album cover reflects the themes of the songs like paradise did ^_^

Has anyone considered that maybe Lana chose the cover for HM from the shoot, and that Chuck didn't even know that one was going to be 'the one' as she was taking it? I still think Chuck has shot the best, raw photos of Lana. But I think this album will not have a cover like HM. HM was a sheltered album (hence no upfront lana on the cover), this one is different (Ok maybe sheltered isn't the right word but u know what I mean. If I have to say the word dreamy one more time I'll wither away, but it WAS drxamy Anyway at least HM got the exclusive cover with her face on it! I think that was angelic. I see no one talking about that...

I wont say who, because its not like they're gonna get kicked off this site, but i messaged them about it and they haven't replied. Anyway, I remember Elle saying she just didnt want anything being shared on this site, and they haven't done that so... it still sucks but at least lanaboards isn't involved

Yeah holy sh*t i thought the same! And when she mentioned that MTWBT reminded her of an extra track off the Jewels Of The Sea record by les Baxter i was like omg tropical, exotic holiday And i also agree that i want her to take MTWBT further. It had so many interesting musical elements. I think the reason people didnt go crazy for it as a single is because her vocals were dreamy and lazy but instrumentally it was my favourite song from HM The instrumental layering off HM was genius and god-like imo (some people just cant take subtleness in music, they want it roaring in their face lol) And I just can't wait to see how it evolves further from here. Im anticipating something beautiful in my imagination. I know she won't disappoint.

Ive loved The Pierces for years. I heard their song WE ARE STARS on Gossip Girl and was instantly hooked, then found out their songs had been used several times before on gossip girl and that it was the pll theme song too. My favourite of their songs is Flesh & Bone, and 3 wishes. It's sad that the sisters aren't making music together anymore but SO glad at least Cat is Her voice is so unique and i'm so glad I still get to hear it. Together they reminded me of ABBA cross Fleetwood Mac :') which is like GOALS

YES PLEASE. If the hippie theme is really happening this will be the best album of my life. I've been thinking about the daisies theme a lot lately. And now that @@leaked_version put me in my place about the new album NOT actually being "less dreamy, more upbeat" (thank you sweet heart I was so deluded), I've been thinking about how it can lead on from Honeymoon era. And I'm just so intrigued. I feel like the world is getting closer to Utopia

Feeling kinda pathetic for being the third time I've posted a dream here, but last night I dreamt that Lana wasn't even who we thought she was. I went to an event to meet her and get stuff signed, and she was there but she wasn't really talking . Sweird chubby man was doing everything for her. So this weird chubby bald man gets in front of the crowd and is like "so I am Lana Del Rey. I'm the one who writes the songs, produces it, directs the videos,manages the online accounts. Elizabeth is just the public face who I want to portray my character. I am the real Lana Del Rey" And all the crowd was just standing there quiet like wtf and he was like "I'm the one who writes what she says in interviews too. Elizabeth is just the dressed up image of me". And it just got even weirder, I was talking to other fans and we were dreading the new album now that we found out the truth, some people left before they got any signatures, and I woke up just before I got a signature from Lana (Elizabeth) when she said to me "I didn't think anyone would take Lana that seriously. No musician can be real these days" But man was I relieved when I woke ip

THANK YOU We all need to appreciate HM more <3 My favourite parts of the era were: How Lana kept talking about it, giving hints, etc, about the music direction she was heading in, the Honeymoon Hotline, etc. How active she was before and during this era How lots of other stuff was released around the same time to compliment it (Prisoner, Big Eyes, I Can Fly, Wait For Life) Freak and The Blackest Day will never not give me chills Her live shows during this era were amazing The uniqueness- yes her previous albums are unique but HM managed to make her music style even MORE unique so dont argue with me here. The HBTB shoots, and aesthetic The insight this album gave us into Lana's personal life and fears, etc. It was less upfront (to some of ur dismay), but for a good reason Some other things I should mention: I liked the idea of the photoshoots for Honeymoon, and I totally get the whole 'distant, dreaminess', but I do like to see her face more :') The art in the album booklet was kinda like a colourful Ultraviolence. which was cool, but I hope the next can be a bit different.

Well I kept seeing this everywhere "She stated that she wanted the upcoming record to have a "pop-friendly" and "New York style" sound, and to be a little harder, faster, more upbeat, and less dreamy" on wikipedia ( i know, not reliable anyway) from this interview http://www.nme.com/features/a-letter-from-lana-del-rey-the-full-nme-cover-interview-757009 I assumed she meant for LDR5

She just has a way of making any colour her own. It could be bright, vintage filtered or b&w and still be perfect. True tho, i just can't wait for colour schemes Didn't she say it would be less dreamy? and more upbeat NY style? Dno if she kept her word on that brief description but I doubt it will be a HM continuation.

Wow thanks for your perspective! Having never been to America I think I veered towards the pessimistic view (black slavery,shooting anyone who moves- wild west style, environmentally destructive) on what America used to be. Even still, at the time it was the land of The Free compared to the test of the world. I guess Lana just wants America to stay free, as the decades roll on, and have democracy.

But BTD did have like all of the tracks as standout tracks, so commercially, it did *cough* slay..... I still refuse to say "BTD slays them all" out loud tho...
