  1. Im having another phase where all I want to listen to is Wild On You. Have you ever thought about how the production would sound if it went further? I was thinking something softer like Black Beauty, but probably quieter in the chorus, like the Angels Forever verses. I can't really imagine strings though unless very soft in the background.
  2. Also, is "beige" the actual word used to describe something that's bland, boring, safe, etc? Cause if so, that really is the only way to describe NFR. I was holding onto this hope for so long. But Doin' Time came out which was exciting and the best for about 2 days... Then Season of the Witch came out which was exciting and the best for about 1 day. Having some surprises floating in a sea of mediochreness just ain't doin it for me no more.
  3. I think the verses even do
  4. Okay I'm not here to hate, I have listened to Finally mulitple times this morning but it sounds very similar to MAC and even Driving in Cars With Boys. The second one might be impossible, but I'm not unhearing this. It also reminds me of Nickleback in a good way fml
  5. Only just found out one of my favourite singers, the vocalist from Digital Daggers, used to be in a small underground band called The Weekend, and they are the reason Abel had to drop the 'e' in his name
  6. Well MAC was CERTAINLY not it. Instead it's probably FIILY because that is a mixture of the sweeter vocals and the muted chilled-out rock sound yet i still mostly think of NFR!'s weaker songs when i think of the album as a whole.
  7. Id like it if she just did it better. If the instrumentals matched and she didn't bother trying to make it sound 80% modern, then it would totally put me in that era of 60s music. Imagine her actually doing 60s upbeat music and embracing the vintage aesthetics again
  8. Finally/Beautiful Stranger is so sweet omg it sounds so pre-2010s
  9. Norman fucking Rockwell Mariners Apartment Complex Venice Bitch Fuck it I love you Cinnamon Girl How to disappear California Bartender Happiness is a butterfly hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have - but I have it
  10. For me I just like her vocals in the chorus. The layering sounds so good and the way she sings sounds desperate and it's one of the only parts of the album where we hear that old style of hers, the same way Ultraviolence had it. The verses of california are trash.
  11. Probably not specific enough but: The background instrumentals in Cinnamon sound like Summertime Sadness. I think cause there's a theramin too. The bridge of Cherry Blossom sounds like how she sang Born To Die live at the end of this performance Angels Forever = Ride 2.0 Dark Paradise is literally Summertime Sadness, purposefully.
  12. Ultra Violet

    Melanie Martinez

I like how her style has evolved *a little* this era, like she's wearing more intricate clothing and jewelry and her hair is always super nice. But I do wonder how bored I'll be of her general style soon.
  13. I made all the opening themes into one song. Unfortunately 1984 didn't fit in with most of the song cause the 80's beat just didn't work with the rest, but it still features in 2 parts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WarxlYkQeqg&feature=youtu.be
  14. She's released a new EP called Wicked Woman. All songs are once again splendid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGV21NeDZh4
  15. I always put For K Part 2 with Velvet Crowbar.
  16. Wow a big step for Halsey. She now admits she's a pop star! 9:15 she talks about it. The sound of the new album on stage sounds like exactly what I want from Lana well at least someone's doing it
  17. It could be good, and yes now would be the time But even if she did, she has equal chance of making it a win or a loose. She'd probably forget the lyrics, for instance.
  18. The Greatest is growing on me, but only because I like the way she sings in the chorus. I don't care much for the meaning, no matter how legendary and modern she thinks it is. It's going to age like milk. Yet still it's the only song from the album I feel like listening to sometimes.
  19. From NFR..... The outro of Cinnamon Girl (cause throwbacks to Summertime Sadness, idk why) When Venice Bitch switches over at 2:14 MAC from 3:20 until finish California chorus ( i dont know why i love it so much, the desperation in her vocals?) And this doesnt really feel like part of the album but Doin' Time's bridge/after second chorus.
  20. Pity Party is also that song I relate too too much for similar reasons on more than one of my birthdays too Nicholas by Nostalghia This song reminds me of Davy Jones from POTC. It's very much oceanic and deep, especially in the chorus and it sounds like it is about some ancient ocean entity or something. The ending of the song with the instrumental is so intense, it's one of my favourite endings of any song. Next letter: C
  21. Omg And definitely White Mustang yeah
