I spend hours every week trying to track down both '14' and all the other songs she has done, with very little luck. It's like Lana, but Charli was even younger when she got started. But hey, the Mixtape and eventual album are gonna he great! She's like the Sky that never was.

Oh, wow...I come from a very, very bookish family. I recently became possessed by a spirit of decluttering, so I got rid of a whole bookshelf's worth, but I still have a full bookshelf & am consistently collecting new ones. Not to mention the hundreds of books I have all over my house, ranging in topic from Theology (a lot of those) and Bibles to gardening guides, curriculum, textbooks, medical dictionaries, biographies, and plenty of fiction.

I contacted the production duo known as 'Daft Dog,' who produced Lana's track 'Dangerous Girl,' and asked them whether they had produced any more songs with Lana. As Roy did when I asked, they kinda dodged the question, but

What do you mean, "flopped?" It's a single by a netlabel without a distribution deal, it got as much press as all her other releases...it didn't flop. She's not an artist who's trying to chart, or she would have definitely signed to a larger label by know.
 
Her music and artistry aren't focused on mainstream commercial appeal, so I don't think she'd put an old single on there just for streaming numbers. She would put it on there if she thought it was part of a cohesive whole, which is what I think she's trying to accomplish with this project.

Okay. Back in 2009, at the same time they recorded "Heavy Hitter," Lana worked on a very rough demo of a song tentatively called "Hawaiian Tropic." However, they never finished it, and she took some ideas and lyrical themes from that unfinished track and instead used them in conjunction with her old demo "1949," and came out with THIS MASTERPIECE. It's like the happy sister song to the slow version of "Hundred Dollar Bill," and hey! Look at the RUBY TUESDAY reference. Hmmmmmm?

Does she have a really shitty deal that keeps her from releasing stuff? 

 

Also, can anyone recommend a masterpost? "Burning Up" was so good it made me really wanna download it all, but it's really hard to find stuff consistently. 

GTFO way overperformed, i think! Really loving A No No and The Distance, With You is great too. Glad she seems happy.

remember when product was released with four previously released singles and only four new songs? even though she was playing a bunch of other music. I really think sophie just wants to be a producer (period) in the same way some songwriters just want to be songwriters and she may casually release a collection of original music to show what she has to offer.

Does anyone realize the reason they were probably going to get on a track together is because Kim, Doja, and Azealia are all totally fine working with Dr. Luke? Luke and Doja go way back, pretty sure he's the reason she signed to Kemosabe--and he produced "Juicy." 
 
Since "Treasure Island" is still up, I'm guessing Azealia and Luke came to an agreement on the 30% of the royalties he was asking for from the track. Obviously she shoulda watched her mouth, just think it's funny that everyone's all up in arms over this when they're all friends with Dr. Luke. 
 
(Oh, and I'm really sad it's not happening. )
