I only heard of Lana from that list so far Is she getting mixed up with the irrelevant indie crowd? You are better than this, Lana
-
I see you Lana making connections trying to get him to produce your next Tropico-esque short film for the next album
-
Interesting. The Other Woman is a highlight on UV for me. And Blue Velvet is just so magical, I listened to it hundreds of times. It also has Lana's most captivating music video to date.

Sounds good to me Serve The Blackest Day 2.0 level masterpieces queen She could also write about her experience with being stalked/having so many people be manically obsessed with her, it could be a dark and unique song
-
She looks so cheerful. I wonder what she's up to.
-
None of the other songs do too tbh. It was just a weak year. I think she should put a song on a major successful movie next year, The Hunting Ground was barely known.
-
She literally said Video Games is her own musical representation If you want to turn them into a stan show them Brooklyn Baby or Old Money though

Okay so I saw so much praise for this I decided to give it a try. I wrote my opinion about each track for fun The 1975: WTF is this? An interlude? Not here for that, next. Love me: Not good, and the guitar is tacky. Messy Vocals too. UGH!: nice intro but the song goes nowhere. Not replay worthy. A change of heart: what is this mess? WHAT IS THIS MESS She's American: Finally a good song! I like this. Very catchy. If I believe you: this is like some messy waltz song from 1920, the kind that plays in the background of a movie while the main characters are having their prom dance and share an intimate conversation. I dont ever want to hear it again Please Be Naked: intro is too long was my first thought, but then it was an instrumental only track. What is this? Lostmyhead: the vocals are not loud enough The Ballad of me and my Brain: WTF is this it's bad Somebody Else: I like the effects on their voices, it's like they are ghosts/speaking from another world or something. The beat is nice too. This is the first standout track. Loving Someone: I love the chorus. This is a keeper. I like it when you sleep for this title is too fucking long: remix this track, make it 2 minutes long, and then it will be good The Sound: this is ok. Not good enough to actually replay it, but not annoying to hear either. It's just there for 4 minutes. This must be my dream: pathetic filler Paris: Love the altered vocals. Weak harmonies. Not good enough. But the lyrics are cute. Nana: Bad bad baaaad She Lays Down: A cute idea let down by potato quality vocals why did they not record this properly? Ugh...it sounds so weird Final verdict: I didn't like most songs, but that was expected since I'm not a fan of this band. Still, I found 2 lovely new songs to listen to and that is good enough for me. I hope all of you will enjoy the album as well

It's actually better than many of the tracks on his album, I dont know why it didn't make the cut
-
But...that is Katy What made you think it wasn't her?
-
She released a new soundtrack song You can hear it here http://tove-lo.com.br/?p=300 it's cute, but not replay worthy imo
-
This is not the way to get banned. You need to start beef with Jack and you will be gone in a moment. But we would miss you

Lana At The Pre-Grammy Gala At The Beverly Hilton Hotel 14.02.2016
Creyk replied to Macintosh Manhattan's topic in Sightings
tbh I dont care if she wins awards or how many ceremonies she goes to The point is she is working on the next album. Get it to us ASAP queen -
I think it was yes. If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will come in and correct me The interview in which she talked about it happened so long ago
-
Do you think there is any chance that she will do promo (interviews and performances) once the lead single is out? Competition is really high this year I dont know if a song can succeed just off of her name.
-
Florida Kilos was not supposed to be on the album. It was made for a movie to be a soundtrack song but the plans fell through so in the end Lana just included it on her album. It is also Rob Grant's (her dad) favorite song from Ultraviolence (the album). edit: why did the site not add to this my previous post like it usually does. Maybe a mod can merge the two?
-
She reworked the song Melancholia into Ultraviolence in order to have a title track. She described the album before Dan Auberbach's contribution as: "folk songs" in an interview. Some members at the time commented that the guy prevented the second coming of Lizzy Grant, or at least an album that would have been more similar to AKA.

Her new single is rumored to be with that new writing duo who gave Good for you for Selena Gomez and Sorry for Justin Bieber. Maybe they also came up with a distinct, different sound for Brit? I expect this upcoming song to be something fresh.

Freak Music Video Premiering February 9th
Creyk replied to Say Yes to Heaven's topic in New Releases
The second speech is cringe but the first before the song starts playing is very nice imo. And you can't deny that it's very cinematic and pretty, although her hair while swinging on that rope really is kinda tacky I looks better in the actual video somehow
