    Old Money

She said that it was not inspired by Rome & Juliet, she found out about the similarities after finishing the song, it is based on "fantastical snapshots and memories of being on the corner of Hollywood". A collection of things which gave her a nostalgic feeling
  2. Come on you guys, LB has to be represented there! Plus I am dying for some blogs about concert experiences

    Britney Spears

Britney should get a restraining order against him because of the mess he created

OMG the abundance of DL links/unreleased trade in this thread Love it I liked Stay High so much that I decided to check out this album, and I really like it! Some really good songs on it! Moments and Not on Drugs are awesome, the production is kind of the same on most songs, but hey it clearly works! I wonder if she will be big.

    Britney Spears

I wonder if she will outdo herself with the next one...she said she is happier lately and had more inspiration, so I hope for something really special from her
  6. It depends on your style and what you are into really. Overall, BTD is a more classy album with more unique lyrics and the ever present retro beauty queen / gangsta Nancy Sinatra feel. She abandoned these things for the UV era both sonically and visually, so of course it's different. UV is like a more mature, artistic Lizzy Grant. BTD is the perfection of Lana Del Rey
  7. I'll put this on my waiting list next to your UV review
  8. While browsing the internet I found this: I LOVE these type of lullaby renditions of songs, and after looking around on the web, I found that Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star created a whole album of Lana's songs. Here is the tracklist: 1 Young and Beautiful 2 Born to Die 3 West Coast 4 Ultraviolence 5 Summertime Sadness 6 Shades of Cool 7 National Anthem 8 Ride 9 Blue Jeans 10 Radio 11 Dark Paradise 12 Brooklyn Baby 13 Video Games 14 Once Upon a Dream (Young & Beautiful is fucking flawless, I strongly recommend you check it out) You can listen to 1:30 snippets of each song here: https://play.google.com/store/music/album/Twinkle_Twinkle_Little_Rock_Star_Lullaby_Versions_?id=Bpqk3br4z7hfybsnsnvopl6iiwq I am super happy there is finally a Lana album of songs like this, now I just have to get my hands on the album somehow  What do you think of this? Do you like the songs? Or are they not your cup of tea? Discuss!
  9. I'm here for that TIWMUG praise That song is too underappreciated on here tbh, it's flawless
  10. WTF Only 2 people wrote American I thought everyone loved that song Anyway, my list is: Lucky Ones (If only there was a live version, she would slay this with those live vocals ) American (Even though she has never said a word about this song, I am happy that she performed it numerous times. She sounds so good in it, and the instrumental is amazing) The Other Woman (Well, really...all tracks are flawless but I had been listening to that one the most lately, so let's go with that)
  11. Maybe the pressure because of this causes her to get sick fast every time she has to perform, as a protective mechanism She should see a psychologist
  12. She obviously will in 2015 Everything for that Money, Power and Glory
  13. I hope she's smiling like that because she's happy about having scored that James Bond movie
  14. I did not know what Vimeo is Well thanks you guys The way she sings "Is that true" at 1:29 in video games is so lovely And the way she holds that youuuuuu final note at 4:08 is also great
  15. I like Lana's ethereal songs Wouldn't be surprised if it was something like NA though, and wouldn't mind it either
  16. I think you know what I meant by travesty It's been what, 2-3 years and she is still hurt by the reaction to her first album, and the SNL performance had a part in that. But otherwise, I actually agree with you! I loved those performances and would watch them often, I was so sad when they were removed from her youtube page and I couldn't find them anymore
  17. Well apparently after the SNL travesty someone at her label gave her plenty of coaching/lessons. But also how she does depends on the day/mood, as she said numberous times. It seems to be a mental issue with her, what kind of mindset she is in at the moment, how much is she blocking herself with her depression/anxiety I don't even know what her problems are anymore. Point is, I agree that she has definitely improved, and she probably had a specially good day when ITH was recorded
  18. I wonder what are the possibilities for this track ~sonically~ We know that in the studio Lana is in control, her vision guides everything, and the producers adapt based on what she wants, and as she changes so does the music, we can see this in the difference of the sound between Paradise and BTD too, same team, but different sound. So I wonder if now that Lana is in another place again, this track will be different from what we heard before (with similar lyrical content though). OR, another possibility is, is that maybe since this is Emile's album we will get whatever he wants and Lana just goes along with it and lends her voice to whatever kind of track Emile wants to make, therefore we get something upbeat, fast and crazy. I'm so curious about which one will happen! There should be an album preview or something
  19. She would easily outshine the others unless she hid from the cameras all the time
  20. This tbh. I mean I understand that Lana doesn't care, but how come Interscope goes along with her. If they can force Gaga (who is a much bigger star) to do what they want, or she has to compromise, then how come Lana always gets her way, it's so weird. Why are they not pushing her to promote her songs and force her songs on radio, like they do with other stars? It's a mystery to me
  21. Yes, dozens. I love them, actually. Like, I am wearing one right now. Do you own a barbie?
