  1. She can't do well without a good single anymore. Just look at Beyonce, we all know what happened with her latest release, how she sold more than 1 million so fast and all that...but her singles did not do well. The album is not even in the Top 200 for a long time now. Singles (played on radio) give exposure which is necessary for an Album to have longevity and success, in most cases. I love Lana no matter what, but it would be so nice if she was also slaying the charts, at least top 20 or something
  2. Don't say that, she wants to run out of talent by the time her time comes and she stands in front of god
  3. Is calling a person generic okay now? Come on, that's a new low. He is probably at least all right
  4. That radio interview where the interviewer praised Off To The Races, asked about Puppy Love, and talked about hola hooping to OTTR. In the thread about the interview we talked about some weird sound the interviewer made, and then she tweeted about it. It was speculated that she found out about the leaked songs mainly from here
  5. This is now the second time that Lanaboards has considerably influenced an interview. I find that so cool. What we say here has merit, you guys
  6. The JFK one is totally amazing
  7. Adele collaborated with various songwriters and producers, including Columbia Records co-president Rick Rubin, Paul Epworth, Ryan Tedder, Jim Abbiss, and Dan Wilson.
  8. Hmm I should watch Tropico again, now that you say that
  9. Daamn...he is in the music business, he could know that "the Adele producer" is called Rick Rubin
  10. Since I heard that she's been working on it for 5 years now, I'm having wet dreams about a version with BTD-type of production
  11. I actually thought she was talking about the Vine that you drink, and then I was like...wait, what? You saidt you don't drink.....
  12. Yeah that's what I was curious about So does she have to share the profit that comes from the song?
  13. She said that Cruel World, Pretty When You Cry, and Old Money are her favorite tracks along with SOC being really meaningful to her. My hopes for an OM video were just multiplied by 1000 "Old money is probably one of the tracks on the record that's the most idyllic of them all. It's more based in kind of, fantastical snapshots I have of being on the corner of Hollywood and vine , like I was channeling something. It's really my oldest track on the record cuz it's, it's a song that's been in the works for about 5 years. It was called Methamphetamines at first. And what's funny is, I had to talk to my publishing company, because, I didn't know that I was referencing a melody from the original score of Romeo and Juliet from I think, the sixties. And, it was so similar that, you know half of the publishing belongs to them as well now. (what?) But obviously I was channeling something really...nostalgic. For me it's also one of my favorite tracks."
  14. I was mainly thinking of the amount of upbeat songs. She is the sadcore queen, but then there are songs like Queen of Disaster, Ooh Baby, MMITPM....
  15. I think that is what is bothering her about the leaks, actually. (other than the lack of privacy) It tarnishes her aesthetic.
  16. OLD MONEY WHERE ARE YOU :defeated: *meltdown mode off* Well, I am happy with this too. Since Lana only wants to do an UV tour next year maybe she will actually promote this in August. She could go to SNL, Ellen, Letterman, Allan Carr, etc...please Lana make it happen. Who am I kidding. Please Ben force Lana to do promo, make it happen
  17. So many cool music questions....I long for the day when an interviewer asks her about the creation of Old Money
  18. There are lots of leaked songs about which we just don't know where they came from though, no? Probably Ben Mawson trying to keep Lana relevant or something
  19. I used to listen to it like 5-7 times a day in a row while at work, but then my co-workers started to get bored and complained So now we listen to the radio At least sometimes I hear some tropical remix of Summertime Sadness
  20. I used to think that I have to kept living to be able to listen to Ultraviolence, but then I realized, life only really started after I began listening to it over and over.....
  21. After reading this thread I realized that I barely understand the verses
