  1. You don't know what it sounded like in my head. It slayed so hard
  2. Maybe this is just a secret message for us to get ready, the SS-like era is coming. Get ready to hear UV on radio 24/7 and watch it go top 10
  3. Stop criticizing the DMD lyrics Yeah it is repetitive, it's meant to be to add to the meaning, WE KNOW IT, WE GET IT!!!
  4. Because it's her most innovative, forward thinking song she has ever created and she hates it. That's why she never sung it live, it annoys her that she peaked so early in her career. Glorious anthems like this come only once in a lifetime and it's killing her on the inside that she is never going to outdo herself on this one.
  5. I was just thinking the other day how most of these songs (For you ) could even be chart-toppers with UV kind of production. Can you imagine what these songs would sound like with Lana's deep vocal delivery and better instrumentals?
  6. I just found out that you continued the interpretations, and I love reading it! You are such a great writer! I really loved the deep thought in the BTD section, and what you wrote about "just going with the flow". Is so like her, letting go of control. Getting together with someone while being aware that the relationship is not gonna last makes me think of this Francesco guy she was with for a couple of days. Their romance was born to die too. I like that as I read your interpretations, I am reminded of the original inspirations of Lana, like how she imagines herself in the place of Lolita and such. It's so nostalgic at this point, because it's been a while since I delved deep into analyzing the songs on the album myself. Your DMD interpretation is the best I have ever read. This part in particular: I think what you describe here is what she refers to when she says that someone makes her feel "electric" You captured DP's meaning so well, specially here: Which makes so much sense, when we think of these lyrics from You, Mister: "I make it a point to rest through my day To close my eyes and visualize my troubles away And I, think of you here And I, close my eyes tight So now the vision of you near makes me feel alright" Lana probably did spend many hours in real life just laying/sitting with her eyes shut, imagining that she's still together with her lover. So endearing, really. I never was really sure what SS was about until I read what you wrote, so thanks for that I'd be happy to read your Paradise interpretation as well if you feel up for it
  7. If it wasn't an edition how would the uninformed ignorant people (like some of her critics) know that it's meant to be heard, interpreted and criticized in conjunction with the album which came before it, Ultraviolence?
  8. Would it be about Lana freaking the fuck out pre-show 99 times in a sequence? Because I'd be here for that
  9. Get read for the Ultraviolence: Music To Watch Boys To edition Hmm, does not even sound so tacky....
  10. And I thought some of the WC remixes were bad
  11. These fuckers in the comment section though.... Leave my baby alone
  12. I really like Cruel World's interpretation, I didn't think about the song in such depth but now that you explained it, I have a greater appreciation for it being the opening track. I do wish you wrote more about UV though, maybe you don't like the song so much and that's why you just left it at the surface? The West Coast interpretation is brilliant, I like how it gives insight to what she could be feeling in that relationship. I love the way you write. Aw this part is so cute I love the Old Money support here ^^ It's one of my favorites too. I love the comparison with Y&B and the past/future thing you included. If you feel like it, I would be interested in your take on Paradise, mainly American, BE and Yayo
  13. OMG, what a thread. I for one don't really understand the problem with different approaches to sex. I mean, it's your business, it's personal, it's not like someone else has any say in what you do. It's only when you care about getting other's approval that you would need to even think about "is doing this right, or wrong". I mean, who cares what you do behind closed doors really? They shouldn't. The whole thing is overcomplicated by people who make too big of a deal of something simple which we are all doing anyway
  14. The behind the scenes footage is better than the actual WC music video Just wow
  15. She can't do well without a good single anymore. Just look at Beyonce, we all know what happened with her latest release, how she sold more than 1 million so fast and all that...but her singles did not do well. The album is not even in the Top 200 for a long time now. Singles (played on radio) give exposure which is necessary for an Album to have longevity and success, in most cases. I love Lana no matter what, but it would be so nice if she was also slaying the charts, at least top 20 or something
  16. Don't say that, she wants to run out of talent by the time her time comes and she stands in front of god
  17. Is calling a person generic okay now? Come on, that's a new low. He is probably at least all right
  18. That radio interview where the interviewer praised Off To The Races, asked about Puppy Love, and talked about hola hooping to OTTR. In the thread about the interview we talked about some weird sound the interviewer made, and then she tweeted about it. It was speculated that she found out about the leaked songs mainly from here
  19. This is now the second time that Lanaboards has considerably influenced an interview. I find that so cool. What we say here has merit, you guys
  20. The JFK one is totally amazing
  21. Adele collaborated with various songwriters and producers, including Columbia Records co-president Rick Rubin, Paul Epworth, Ryan Tedder, Jim Abbiss, and Dan Wilson.
