I believe that Ray is Arthur Lynn. I don't have a ton of evidence to back it up, but in Wayamaya she says 'We changed our names to Lana and Ray'. This line immediately stood out to me, as I had seen this before. It's a blog post that Arthur made while they were dating and it's tagged 'true love' (so cute) and so I'm wondering if they liked those names or if they had any significance to them and that's what inspired the line from Wayamaya and maybe even her stage name, as she was dating him around the time she made the name change. 
 
Of course I could be wrong, but with the way the timeline lines up and and the post he made, I feel it's at the very least more than a coincidence. The only thing I can't place my finger on is Raise Me Up, but oh well. If you want to learn more about her relationship with Arthur, this is an awesome read.

i (and others) posted a long time ago that the mystery record executive could be van wilson, the 5 points records A&R guy that discovered her in september 2006 at the WLSC competition. but either way, 1999-2006 isn't necessarily the timeline, because it's been implied that she was the other woman in that situation (also, there is a possibility that the 7 years she stated could be as fictitious as the decade she didn't touch alcohol - i don't know if intentionally or because she's just chronologically challenged?). i can't really search right now, but if van isn't the long-term affair record executive, at the very least they had a fling, i think:

 
she and reeve were in a relationship, but it didn't quite work out. we had speculated that he was the locally famous boyfriend she alluded to in several early lizzy/lana songs. there was on old interview with reeve's brother that mentioned his relationship with lizzy, but i don't have it at hand. a "couple-y" pic of them together:

Tbh I hope Lana doesn't get a stylist. I like that wears whatever the hell she wants and things that SHE obviously likes. 

I don't see why people are getting so up in arms about this. I don't think many people are going to be getting it for the ~amazing~ sound quality or to be a hipster, but because it's cute and I would consider it a collectible novelty. Say what you want about cassettes, but they really are rare and it's cool when your fave's album is one of the few in production.
