Oh wow... I haven't seen these completely original and insightful comments about Taylor before... definitely haven't seen this exact sentiment for the past year.

People comparing Billie and Taylor is so annoying, like they’re obviously 2 different artists with different style, fame and fan base. The Taylor fan accounts are going crazy over his Taylor is still number 1. Like Taylor is AMAZING but Billie and finneas are always gonna be on a different level than Taylor in some ways better and some ways not as good 2 artists are rarely ever the same enough to be compared to this point

It’s kind of crazy how 1989 is the best re-recording but gets called the worst just because of Style  Out of the Woods, All You Had to Do Was Stay, Bad Blood, and This Love are all improvements on the original and tbh the rest all sound pretty much the exact same. The vault tracks are all at least a 4/5 too. Now That We Don’t Talk, Slut!, and Is it Over Now are all highlights even considering the main album.

i feel like it's a sunk cost fallacy so now that she's done 4/6 she might as well finish. she did mention the rep vault tracks being "fire" so they're definitely coming imo

The real question is.....
is the acoustic version separately recorded vocals or is it just the regular version vocals put over a different music arrangement
(probably the second)

this album is such a summer album and it's disheartening to see everyone hate on it... not every song needs to be a banger in order for it to be a good album  also kinda sad seeing how many people just automatically hate on a song that's less than 100 BPM 

feeling so let down. I feel like this whole album had bangers on it then Lorde hit her up and was like hey girl.
 
houdini is still the best song.
 
maybe this album will grow on me. 
 

I don’t think people would be complaining nearly as much about this if she didn’t talk up a new psychedelic sound/massive attack influences/etc. 
 
all of the choices around this are really odd though. She really had huge critical and commercial hype I feel like after FN for being a hit maker that created (and perfected nearly) a niche sound that was really her own and she just kind of did…nothing with it. It’s just a miss I think to follow up FN with an album as beige as this. 
 
this would have made more sense to follow up her debut imo, but to downgrade to this after something as focused as FN is weird. 
 
Not to say there aren’t decent bops on here, but overall this is a miss for me

Literally. My straight friend is a DJ, so I sent him the Boiler Room set. He applauded the artistry, but said, "It's just not for me." And he was correct.

Where’s Fresh Out The Slammer????? It’s like one of her best from this album.

I forgot there was a SOPHIE reference on there…  she didn’t even know her personally but I’m still about to cry like a baby I know it

Don't know how to feel about the first verse of Sweetest Fruit but other than that 10/10 no notes, amazing album
