  1. not even just about race, but about anything in a conversation. if the other person's looking for something, they'll find it. I think more than anything, it's important to really see what's really being said. granted, the more words spoken/typed the chances of them meaning more lessen. not everything is what u want it to be summarizes this concisely. I think above everything, it's just real terrible that we've come to this as a society where people can just get so stuck in their hurt that it kind of hyperfocuses a lot of their perspective on it. forsure it's valid, but if ur going to stay in that mindspace and demand everyone u feel is against u, well that kind of entitlement isn't going to get you that far. if anything it'll just have people repel from being their true selves w you. that's hollow. especially if the other party wasn't even aiming to talking about that. we've all got our hangups and hurt, but it shouldn't be used to intentionally devalue or try to manipulate another person to submit to anything. just because a person comes from a different place etc. doesn't mean that person should automatically embody something. nurture does a lot too. everyone deserves at least a genuine chance to be heard, from a human soul perspective. their core, free of all labels. our differences should bring us together, thru perspective and it's variety imo that we get to share. we've all got the same wants, needs, dreams, and fundamental pains of simply being human when we get to the bottom of things. we feel love and pain fundamentally as a species the same. I think society's just played out so much that we can constantly forget that, and in a way, it's dehumanizing. we're ALIVE. we should really be trying to work together and use our differences to solve problems from multiple views, not stay divided. be the difference from the statistics, the stereotypes. lead by example. we can't get there if we don't/ or aren't even open to trying..
  2. I get how we do like Lana's work, or at least w LFL's demos among others, but did u think the gp would've been there for it? at the time, we got the official tracks first, so there's something to compare. i'm sure it wouldn't've been the same and it would've taken more to process(?) at least, those're my thoughts on it
  3. Nope but I remember the Stevie collab disses receipts PLS
  4. it's of spongebob over like weird music at the krusty krab
  5. I understand what u mean but I guess at least for whf, I'd have to disagree.. I think inspiration can be really quick, and that it might just be important to chase it til its done. I know she had a handful of songs for nfr, but she literally waited more or less a year for reasons I doubt we'll ever know for sure but yeah.. I think there's a kind of catharsis that can happen when you're almost done writing and I hope she really follows through w this one.
  6. So I'm finishing the vid, does anyone know what she's talking about when it came to like her belief in god, bc the whole parallel universe and NASA like-
  7. Watching the interview rn, Joanne, and the Ariana moment https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZXBF9t32zA

  9. First off, I'm real happy for Ariana, she got to collab w someone she looked up to earlier in her career. That's like, an excellent feat. And I'm glad Gaga got to collab w Ari too. The POP energyyy The song's pretty great imo. It's balanced enough to not be overbearing so it's great to just repeat like it was deigned to be played at least twice every time u think of it. It's compactly concise, so I know those who make remixes of it'll have fun playing w/ it's sound. It doesn't really give u room to breathe when listening to it bc it's so short, but there are moments that just get, at least for me, amped up. the metaphors and multiple meanings of the song. the cadences mean a lot. the prechoruses hold a lot of emotional weight imo. the bridge is SO GAY (:loove: hahahahaha) and it serves in building the last chorus. it's a fun track, wish I were out dancing to it like in the days of yoreeeeee glad Gaga's held to a higher standard, but yeah it's fun its great
  10. get a lil bit of bourbon in ya get a little bit suburban then go craazyyy yeah yeah ~
  11. Really digging what's she put out so far. I'm really hoping that her plans'll be seen through n that Sept 5th's gonna be where we get to listen to something new.
  12. No, I personally love these kind of analyses, and mm yeah first read I thought so too / tl;dr very chill. would recommend.
  13. there's an importance and necessity for gentleness, and I like how it's highlighted on here and w her work. this poem especially. it's kinda like a soft caress, or sitting back to back with someone n looking up at the sky at the same time. I love it.
  14. OOF this aesthetic takes me BAAAAAACK I'm in love

  16. made a thread about it here to get the spirit of lgbt+ pride going waay back. n just some of it's real funny. if anyone wants to enlighten us pls do so: http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/topic/10766-lbs-pop-culture-moments-thread/ And compiling as we speak.
  17. Do u think we can pull up more screenshots from others in the media discussing the matter? Idk where to start exactly if anyone can help, I'd personally and no doubt others would appreciate it.
  18. Ohhh are we talking about degrees or do u like, just like the number specifically?
  19. So. as a recap. can we just get the facts straight? - she name dropped bc she liked those artists. she comments trying to better elaborate what she meant. - secondary post. She's got control of her story. if the women she mentioned don't wanna b associated its fine by her. - it seems like Ariana may have reached out. Ariana still follows her on insta. did she ever follow her back? - Lana and FKA never followed each other. - twitter running. - someone deactivated their insta account bc they got put off w Lana. - there was a group chat, with still no cohesive/full screenshots of the conversation. points: - she's allowed to express herself. there are women that feel like they don't have a place in feminism because they might be overpowered by stronger women. - not racist, she actually loves the artists, and was probably looking for support. - she just wants to express herself and not feel like she's being turned into someone who's hysterical for wanting to do so. - there's a difference between knowing who Lana is on a personal basis, and being a fan. of flippin course, but just to reiterate. So. for those reading the thread regarding the previous happenings/ updates. is there anything else to add? if anyone wants to quote me, can we keep it more factually based rather than surmising? i think it'd be good to just try and get everyone who wants to get up to speed, up to speed w/o having to glean thru the 50ish pages if they didn't want to. @mods, is there a pinned post feature? Ur free to get whatever u think's objectively useful from this post and compile it into another so we don't end up having to echo each other on facts if that's cool - I'm just gonna start compiling info from other users rn. thanks to the people contributing @ Pico Boulevard she unfollowed Win Edwards and Honeymoun on Insta. Weadorelana deactivated their account. I don't know anything about Hilary Duff so I'll just wait for confirmation, ty. Never followed Hilary Duff, but a fan account. @ Nobody quoting u on this media: Zara Laarson:
