  1. I personally think it's fine and actually understand and am for her leaving social media. I think the environment's accelerated and changed a lot in ways. Maybe her mgmt can do the promoting etc. I do miss her page though, but I understand how she likes to be the narrator of her story and get how she deactivated. I figured that since the site's dedicated to her artistry, but seeing as how it's been done this second time. I'm guessing others don't really care/mind, I wondered if anyone did and reasons if so.
  2. Does the site feel the same for you? How has it impacted your site activity? With the recent release, and the title track's lyrical form of don't forget me's. Does it affect how you think about a next possible album/ pre-release and so on? Personally, Blue Banisters feeling like a culmination of her career, Ocean Blvd felt like a post credit scene type of work. I'm personally content and happy about how the record was released and the themes along with it. If this were the last record in a while, and nothing new to talk about for who knows when. Does the vacuum of discourse affect how you might enter threads/ discuss on other threads and so on? It feels complete in a sense, with the album out and how complete it feels, but I can't help but wonder if/ when we'll have high's on a new timeline to travel through. Things to possibly think about in the longer run.
  3. idk the order but something like: California Hope is a dangerous thing Velvet Crowbar Never Let Me Go Last Girl On Earth Pawn Shop Blues Love Lust For Life (demo) Tomorrow Never Came Queen of the Gas Station The Blackest Day Brooklyn Baby Black Beauty Thunder Blue Jeans Because Of You Yayo Grandfather - Summer Bummer On Our Way
  4. I'll admit the forum feels kinda hollow w/o her account. she'll be touring n all that but it kinda feels weird she just dropped the album and a video and then dipped. it's like she threw a party but then left before we got to do a toast/ cheers/ cake moment
  5. I'm hoping they repress the picture discs. i've wanted them for a long time now
  6. i actually very much like having the interludes included on the album. there's something euphoric in jon batiste's that brings a lot of heat and adds to candy necklace's montage/ journey. it feels like it serves as a kind of rhapsodic release, and can also harken the parallel of dancing w the devil/ music industry etc. judah is a bit annoying to go thru, but what I like that it adds is probably Lana's side commentary thru the pastor as a kind of fleshing out a story of tulsa jesus freak's story continuance. and how the men she's been with, sometimes how she idolizes, finally becomes actually human. and that there's this saying where i'm not you. when someone might project and assume you're one way, when you're only just going off who the other party is, and finally stepping away from that kind of man back towards an inner self-reflection and return to your actual self. the theme of spirituality on this album's just beautifully woven, from something being worshipped to convolution, to then being stripped away to the sound of Grandfather.
  7. we need PINK CHAMPAGNE on physical. ultraviolence album w b-sides wheen
  8. this might be a bit unusual to say but I think Lana's one of those rare stars that you find only once in a while in a generation or whatever time bracket. you've got this person who's achieved things with such a great, lasting quality. she's a true legacy artist that sits somewhere in the middle of fame and honestly her personhood so effortlessly. she's a true legacy artist. and maybe it's just that I'm still swimming in this album but i'm kinda wondering if the next one'll feel like an encore of an album. will it be more profound? happier and more celebratory? how long will it take? there's times where I feel like she's covered a lot, but i'm always open to listening what she might have to say Imagine that, witnessing the career of what feels like she's one of the last of the mysterious old-time hollywood/ celebrity stars. what an icon. like's she's come from a different era. she's honestly just a class of her own.
  9. w her deactivating/ leaving her honeymoon acct., in a strange way, I kinda feel a bit relieved by it somehow. i was wondering and felt how blue banisters seemed to be an album that best encapsulated her career then, and with this bright release sorta touching on things in a nice and freeing sorta way, it feels consistent to do so. I was thinking about the role of how social media plays a part with interaction of course, and to this it makes me think that she'd rather just get back to her inner world, and of self rather than having to interact after the journey she's already shared with the world. honeymoon, maybe serving as a reminder of the type of phase, and how she's already written about intergenerational trauma, how society views her versus who she is and the dynamics that play when ur not in a direct mode of popular thinking etc. I like to think she's done this because she's accomplished what she wanted to and no longer needs to play that kind of game, being an outlier of a star past aside of course. I was kinda surprised that she even shared another record and i wanna say that it can't be her last given her penchant for expression and wanting to release the activity in her mind and so on, but regardless, I'm still very much happy and content to've been able to feel the same way w blue banisters to now. fully aware of the parasocial, and have had lots of fun speculating on the pre releases to the point of actual manifestation ( still didn't appreciate the side jabs but i can't articulate anymore to be willfully misunderstood anyway), I wanna say that it's been such a journey being able to identify things she sings about, and almost to what it feels like personal degrees, to go thru similar situations and being able to actually feel kinda protected in this way *cue the coconut song* it's fulfilling and also refreshing to be a Lana fan personally. I am gonna miss her perspective and trying to understand where she's coming from and be able to revel thru that, but we've got lots of material and the album's still very much fresh, and lends to me listening to how much of a late summer day blue banister feels like. I do wish she'd release another video for this album, but I guess candy necklace's vid about pitfalls sorta goes in theme so I'll take that as a form of theme consistency.
  10. BUT 4 DRINKS I’M WASTED — !
  11. I really like watching these videos in the background, or when I just wanna listen to something to decompress. I think it's a great and unique kind of series that actually has a pretty great perspective.
  12. I honestly have broad theories regarding the theme of the not belonging in the track, and how that might reflect off what she sees from popular society etc.
