Her voice is just amazing. Even her speaking voice. I seriously want her to narrate audio books.

Mandler will just recycle the idea of Tropico for Taylor Swift's next single anyway

Off To The Races --- Glass room, perfume, cognac, lilac fumes, says it feels like heaven to him.

On Our Way --- I love so many things about this song, put I'll have to pick the way she sings How you get so hot? It is VERY hot.

Catch and Release --- I really fucking love this song, especially -Yes, I've seen page six lately, ah / I told you both them broads was crazy / Hackin' in your phone and shit & You lured me in with all your gold / Catch and release and you're so cold. Love what's going on with her voice in those 2 moments.
And this live performance:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gRtaGAyP-I Fave moment is from 2:13 onwards. I bet that, like, half those views are mine. I even ripped it from YT because I wanted to have in my iPod and be able to watch it / listen to it whenever.

Everyday when I get home and there's nobody else in the house (except my cat and I think this is the reason why she's nearly deaf), I go in the bathroom where it's really echo-y and I sing on the top of my voice to the live version of Million Dollar Man. I've managed to get myself to believe I sound really cool, just like Lana but once I recorded myself just out of curiosity and... I don't want to talk about it

    I love Lana !
What I'm talking about are my first impressions ! Now I like her funny side, when she pulled up her dress, that stuff.
I love watching her, I found her beautiful not long after starting to get really into her music and she's truly charismatic.
For the Lolita references & the trailer park story I'm not hating her for that, it's just something I don't like thinking about because I'm not "proud" as a fan of that. I'm not a blind follower, that's it.

Musically, I think Lana Del Rey is the artist I've been waiting for, and gooosh I love her voice.

    5. Lana Del Rey
If the multitudes of pre-fab flower crowns adorning girls' heads at Lolla did not tip you off in advance, the screaming, teeming LDR masses — the only thing that could blot out the industrial thunder of nearby NIN — made it good and clear: young female America stans for Lana. The polarizing pop ingénue took the stage looking like vintage Cher in a flowing, blood red gown with golden bodice and nearly black hair, looking very Bob Mackie-does-Grecian-goddess. Screams. A few songs in she told her band, "Lets do 'Blue Jeans,'" Screams. Fortunately, the flower crown ladies knew every single sigh and sang along, loudly, with LDR occasionally ceding a line to her rapt fans — which almost made up for how quiet and thin the sound was during her set. In the last year, her command of her voice has finally caught up to her ambition and star power — the delicacy of her baroque, operatic flourishes were in stark relief against the maniacal grunting of Trent Reznor, which punctured those swelling strings and sighs of longing from three blocks away. J.H.

Tacky as hell but I kinda love it.

Gaga is not a uncultured fuck like most pop stars who barelly knows how to write their own names. She is a parir with Lana on that matter which makes me wanna make a point: Yes education makes a difference LOL. Like Gaga or not like Gaga ( I don't)  she can give a decent interview (when she wants it and when her ego is taking a vacation somewhere sunny), talk about subjects other than music. If you ask me she is even more outspoken and articulated than Lana.

When Gaga wants too ,which is almost never, she can be interesting because she got herself the trouble to educate her johnny walker brain. Her songs and outfits can be interesting when she wants too and actually puts effort on it.

I dislike Gaga because her lyrics are crap these days. Her speech is beyond delusional and her ego is the size of planet earth. All that doesn't take away her talent tho she is just not using her talent. IMO these days she is lazy with her bacon which is music. The rest ( fame, outfits, interviews, production and all the crap)  took the center of her world and music got into second plan.

Gaga is not a sell out IMO she is a smart business women that saw a hole in the market and reinvented herself to fill that hole. The Fame Monster was a good album. Born This way is embarrassing if you take in consideration that Gaga is one of the few pop artists out there that is a actual musician. One of the few that can put melodies to her own songs, play instruments and if she wants actually she can produce herself. Also she writes her own crapy songs but at least she writes them

Same with Lana. She is not as complete as a musician as Gaga but MY FUCKING GOD Lana does know how to write songs, damn good songs. She is also good with visuals, Lana is a good visual artist. That makes a difference IMO. Lana is a incredible song writer. Look at how many leaks we have besides AKA, Sirens and BTD and Paradise albuns. Lana is not even 30 and has over what 250 songs out there if you put all in the same trunck?? So many good songs guys incredible.

I don't think Gaga whines at all compared to Lana. She is a ego maniac but not a cry baby at all. The I was bullied is a way to connect with the audience that are orphans of Michael Jackson. Because imo she got the MJ type of fans not Madonnas LOL. Lana on the other hand...cries a river every single interview.

I can't care less for artpop because imo is going to be shit. But I am looking for to hear her jazz album which I think has good chances to be really good.

It's kind of funny that she sings about the scene changing because in early interviews, Gaga said that the only reason why she went into pop music is because the scene at the time was heavily focussed on fake-ass ~artistic singer/songwriter music. To be honest, that description seems a lot more accurate in opposite to Lana's highly romanced perception of it. Then again, who knows how "serious" she is about all this. In the end, it's a song and not a news report, but I think it gives an interesting new perspective.

I'm relatively shocked at how explicit the lyrics are. She must have been one pressed bitch at the time. Another interesting aspect of this is that they indeed must have met back in the day, given that the lyrics are true.

On a side note: I hope people realise this song is old, and wasn't written yesterday. Because if it was... thank you, Lana, for that insider info on Gaga's upcoming coke commercial.  #ARTPOP #labelmates

And here we go again for people making this all about dissing Gaga...    This is something you will always be able to rely on on pop  alternative music forums. Now the question is: which mommy will win this year's award for Best Birthday Party Organisation?
