I’m so glad Pammy and Anna are back! I have absolutely loved Sheridan and Etienne’s looks on Lana, but the classic Lana glam team being back is just <3 I’d love to see Johnny Blueeyes return too!

This look + the alleged Dior glamour of the W Mag shoot has me excited for the visual direction of this new record, let alone the actual music!

Ugh Lana in Italia just feels so right. I wonder if a summer home over there is calling her name

Excited! Also - the mention of messing with 808s intrigues me. Last time we heard 808s from Lana was in DBJAG’s verses…

I always thought this song was addressed to the boyfriend of hers that passed away, and he was the one that told her “every man gets his wish” — but she feels a bit misled by that sentiment following his passing. The lines “now you’re gone”, “where is mine?” and “were you lying?” seem to suggest he was part of that wish, but because he’s not with her anymore, she didn’t get her wish in the end. She’s almost in denial about his fate with that last line, in particular. A fun track on the surface but really earnest and heartbreaking when you peel back the layers <3

One of her best songs from my favourite album sung in one of the most beautiful places in the world…

The way Ultraviolence completely nailed Lana’s vision of “west coast fusion with underground jazz culture” — it’s so apparent and apt for every track, and sonically, it’s just so her. You can feel a perfect marriage of NY and California all over it. I can’t wait to hear how location presents itself on this next album

She’s back in Portofino and called it “home”! The last time Lana was in LA, NYC, and Portofino back-to-back was during the making of Honeymoon!

I’ll copy and paste the caption for you below (the photo is just the iconic smiling shot of her taken on set of Fuck It I Love You / The Greatest)! @kath3000: Attention! This Fall, your favorite professor(me!) is teaching a course at NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music on Lana Del Rey. In the course, l'Il be unpacking her iconic career and music, the baroque pop era that she helped usher in, and the impact she's had on artists that followed, from Billie Eilish and Lorde to my beloved Halsey. I am SO excited to teach this course!!! #LanaDelRey #nyu #clivedavisinstitute

There’s a way to import it from Apple Books to your Music Library on Mac! What I did was copy Violet from Apple Books to my Mac’s desktop, and then I changed the file’s extension from m4b to m4a. Because it is protected, you can’t change it internally, but the name of the file will be “Track 1.m4b” — and I just changed the name to “Track 1.m4a”. Then, I could easily import it into my Music Library since it was an m4a file, and could simply adjust the starting and stopping timestamps to sync with each poem’s length. However, because it imports as one long 40 min track and not by each poem individually, I had to adjust the track to LA Who Am I to Love You’s length and starting and stopping timestamps and then go back and add the 40 min track again but this time adjust it to The Land of 1,000 Fires’s length and starting and stopping timestamps, and so on with the other poems. Just remember that each timestamp is relative to the poem that came before it! Hope it works out!
