It says it’s a screening of her set at the Camden Roundhouse in London in 2012 and other “live gems”—so it seems this is simply a special viewing of her performance at the iTunes Festival in September 2012 and other previously recorded performances!

Classic rock, grunge, Lana Del Rey, and 90s hip hop!

Captions like this—where snark is under the guise of wit—piss me the fuck off! 💓

I interpreted the country music comment as something along the lines of what she was listening to for hours on the radio as she was driving from Bakersfield to LA (aside from chatting with Annie). Annie is working on being a stylist so I doubt she has anything to do with music, and I really don’t think the next record is country-esque, given what we know about it.

1. Ultraviolence + Honeymoon 2. Norman Fucking Rockwell! 3. Born to Die: The Paradise Edition 4. Lust for Life 5. Blue Banisters 6. Chemtrails Over the Country Club 7. Lana Del Ray AKA Lizzy Grant I couldn’t bear to pit Ultraviolence and Honeymoon against each other because they are, in my eyes, her two magnum opuses, her two bibles — so they are both #1 for me. Nonetheless, I love all the records so much. They are all the soundtrack to my life!

I see Elvis and can only hope for more homages to Priscilla from Lana. Give us 2012/2013 tour looks + V Magazine 2015/2017!

Omg. Praying she’s on set for something because she looks soooo beautiful and sunkissed for this to not be something bigger that we can enjoy.

Honeymoon - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
IanadeIrey replied to annedauphine's topic in Post-Release Threads
"Honeymoon. I guess it's the word that sums up the ultimate dream. I mean, life is a honeymoon, y know? Life, love, paradise, freedom…that's forever. With someone, or just with yourself. It just felt right, kind of the way Ultraviolence felt right before that, when I had a little more rage [laughs]. I love the concept that life is a dream and you curate your own space so that it becomes your heaven. It's all contingent upon your state of mind, which is why I don't always do interviews—because it puts me in a bad fucking mood. I really try and keep my world beautiful but it's tricky. We're at a point in time when life truly can be what you want it to be.” Source: https://vmagazine.com/article/girl-most-likely/ -
After 7 years, this still remains my favourite title track, and one of her best songs. In the top 3 for sure 💐

I know it’s probably not the direction of this next album (which I know I’ll love regardless) but I really would kill for more jazz undertones in the music, especially that of the Golden Age of Jazz, with ethereal choruses, lush orchestral sections, and of course, stacked harmonies in true Lana fashion. I have been thinking a lot about how much I love Shades of Cool and Honeymoon lately, and I just think she really sounds so natural and beautiful singing in a jazzier timbre. Her voice is so rich, it was just made for jazz.

I personally think the lyric in the studio version is “Bonnie,” echoing @Frangipani’s connection of it to Sad Girl’s lyrics (Lana also likened Shades of Cool and Sad Girl here). “I’m one of many Bonnies blue” may also be a play-on-words of the Bonnie Blue Flag, which makes sense as a reference for Lana, given its roots in American war history. I think she just pronounces it rather sultry in the song, so that’s why it’s difficult to discern. In the live version, she definitely switches it up to say “ponies” — but Lana always does that with lyrics, as others have pointed out.

Lust For Life - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
IanadeIrey replied to Elle's topic in Post-Release Threads
I’ve been loving this record a lot lately. It’s got a mix of everything to love about Lana, and listening to it five years down the line feels like coming home, oddly. It makes life feel rosier in its hue -
I wouldn’t rule out August! Everything for Honeymoon happened really suddenly that month, what with High By the Beach, Terrence Loves You, the album’s tracklist + pre-order, and the Honeymoon Hotline. And then of course, Fuck It I Love You / The Greatest, Looking for America, Season of the Witch, and the entirety of NFR came out that month. You never know!

Lust for Life is an incredible album. The production is layered, rich, and dynamic with so many little idiosyncrasies to discover upon listening to the instrumentals. Lana’s vocals are just so dreamy and languorous, I really think her vocals were at a peak when recording Honeymoon and Lust for Life back-to-back. It puts me in a great mood and is so summery and spacey. Not to mention, the era was so fun to experience in real time and the visuals were everything! 🪐🕊💫🍒

For what it’s worth, the case files were posted directly by TMZ and the Daily Mail, where this news broke in the first place — https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-11050505/amp/Lana-Del-Rey-granted-temporary-restraining-order-against-alleged-stalker-stole-car.html https://amp.tmz.com/2022/07/26/lana-del-rey-temporary-restraining-order-stolen-car-stalker/

That is horrible. I’m so glad her TRO has been granted, but it’s insane that this has happened time and time again over the last 8 years…

Lana with fans in a cafe in Beverly Hills, California - July 22nd, 2022
IanadeIrey replied to Elle's topic in Sightings
Gorgeous! The July sun has been treating her well I bet she made those fans’ lives (as fans and small business owners)! -
Re: karmic lineage, I really think she was implying that past generations of her family have historically wronged black and Indigenous folk by participating in racist and colonial systems at the time (obviously preceding her lifetime and her relatives that we know of). That seems to be why she has felt this natural inclination to make reparations to the Navajo community through Violet. Especially with her platform, influence, and resources to do so. I also think the story she tells on Blue Banisters contains experiences that reveal to her a need to heal and not uphold her distant family’s karmic lineage. Text Book’s references to Sean and BLM + Black Bathing Suit’s references to the public’s reaction to QFTC illustrate experiences in her real life that perhaps served as mirrors to that family history, and catalytic events for Lana to forge a new path for her lineage.

I had a dream where Lana was interviewed and was asked about the release date of the album. She said it was October 30 (which is a Sunday). In the spirit of being utterly delusional, let’s do with that what we will!
