I was reading Slim Aarons and came across this photo he took of The Ledges Mansion in Newport, Rhode Island. How serendipitous! This image reminds me so much of the feel we’re getting from this album so far — from the (1) W Mag shoot, (2) IG photos of Lana & Rob in front of The Beckers Mansion, which also happens to be in Newport, Rhode Island, and (3) the “DNC”mystery motif. And with how classic and stormy the new snippet sounds, I really would love for this vision of old money with a moody twist to form the visuals of the new record.

November 25th sounds like a beautiful day to release an album…(and September 1st to drop a single!) 🤞🌊💕

The piano and her voice sound so brooding and moody, yet airy at the same time — and it’s absolutely amazing. I am so excited

Given the Scarface hoodie, I’d love an angry, fun, raw, and hot-summery album with lush orchestral sections, crashing percussion, and flares of fiery electric guitar that evoke the most luxurious scenes in Miami in the late 70s. But of course, still thoughtful and poetic following the writing style of Blue Banisters.

New album nearing completion! I hope that means it’ll be done by September, and then with the 90 day buffer for vinyl production, a December/January release (unless she stays true to the next album being strictly digital )

All the records are different, but I imagine this one to be a blend of Blue Banisters and Honeymoon — her comment about the new music being “crazy” makes me think there’s something more loose and wild in the works though, and I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some more contemporary, electronic, or experimental twist to the songs, given her boyfriend’s music. We shall see!

It says it’s a screening of her set at the Camden Roundhouse in London in 2012 and other “live gems”—so it seems this is simply a special viewing of her performance at the iTunes Festival in September 2012 and other previously recorded performances!

I interpreted the country music comment as something along the lines of what she was listening to for hours on the radio as she was driving from Bakersfield to LA (aside from chatting with Annie). Annie is working on being a stylist so I doubt she has anything to do with music, and I really don’t think the next record is country-esque, given what we know about it.

Lana Del Ray AKA Lizzy Grant I couldn’t bear to pit Ultraviolence and Honeymoon against each other because they are, in my eyes, her two magnum opuses, her two bibles — so they are both #1 for me. Nonetheless, I love all the records so much. They are all the soundtrack to my life!

I see Elvis and can only hope for more homages to Priscilla from Lana. Give us 2012/2013 tour looks + V Magazine 2015/2017!

After 7 years, this still remains my favourite title track, and one of her best songs. In the top 3 for sure 💐

I know it’s probably not the direction of this next album (which I know I’ll love regardless) but I really would kill for more jazz undertones in the music, especially that of the Golden Age of Jazz, with ethereal choruses, lush orchestral sections, and of course, stacked harmonies in true Lana fashion. I have been thinking a lot about how much I love Shades of Cool and Honeymoon lately, and I just think she really sounds so natural and beautiful singing in a jazzier timbre. Her voice is so rich, it was just made for jazz.
