her band is rly cool, the live renditions of her songs sound really cool live (sometimes better than the studio versions) and they seem like cool ppl, they're rly nice to her fans. and it's not their job to know every song lana has ever recorded, if she wants to sing something live, she needs to practise with them first, u can't rly expect them to be able to play anything, most bands rehearse before every show and i don't think they do which isn't only their fault but also lana's

There's no denying her voice is good pitch wise but I can't stand that nasally, irritating sound and I don't think there was really anything special about the song apart from maybe the bridge but tbh the same applies to the original song   
Plus there's the fact that I just don't like her but I tried to keep an open mind

I am always conflicted between being glad that Lana didn't "hit big" in the US and wishing that the general public gave her a real chance.

Lana used to scare me in a sense because I felt that her frequent references to great/misunderstood musicians/celebrities who died young (most of their deaths being linked to drugs/overdose/suicide/etc.,) were very allusive and foreshadowing. Sometimes the thought will come out of the blue and linger, but I try to send out positive vibrations.

I messaged Lana exactly one year ago, on this day, when I found out that she was initially considering leaving the music career. This was when I didn't understand the nature of leaks or how they happened, a few months before I discovered LB. The long to short is that I had asked her to release Hollywood's Dead and American Dream (Damn You) "before she left." Two days later, they leaked. It never said whether or not she read the message, I'd like to think she did. For a long time after, I was fairly certain Lana was behind a majority of the leaks because of that instance, which I guess may have been just pure coincidence, but I still entertain the thought from time to time.

I do love the song, especially for Halloween. Although the video is a little cringy and it does seem like he's trying to pull a bit of a Video Games

I used to really not like Pride, but kept accidentally clicking on it and playing it.
After a while I fell in love with it and now I adore it.
 
Also, her music in general. The first song I heard by her was Born To Die, but at first It was weird but I kept going back to the music video because she looked so damn beautiful in the vid. And after the fifth listen I sort of got into it and then just had to get everything else from her

Cola and Gods & Monsters, definitely. Actually I love all Paradise now but I wasn't too excited at first. Oh and Television Heaven is among my dearest favourites right now but when it first leaked I didn't 'get' it for a few weeks and preferred Hawaiian Tropic/Daytona Meth over it (such good leaks all at once though, not surprised my brain was confused). 
 
I think some songs like Every Man Gets His Wish grew on me after reading something a lanaboardian said about them that made them x100 times better. And Raised Me Up just climbed my Top 10 or something over night, for no reason. Same with Elvis. Listened to them for a year, noticed I love them suddenly.

God well Sirens was a shock to the system but as well as that remember when Serial Killer, Go Go Dancer, Summer of Sam and Ghetto Baby all leaked? I really remember that because I'd recently got an iPod so it was around then when I was organizing my whole collection properly. 
 
Also, I remember a lot of BTD demos were leaking around spring/summer of 2012, it was then when we started getting leaks really rapidly. Also a bit before that when stuff like the No Kung Fu EP, Match Made in Heaven, Dum Dum and that stuff were leaking which was when I sort of became a stan rather than a fan since late 2011 when I never really followed stuff like Hundred Dollar Bill, Trash Magic, Money Hunny etc leaking but those songs hold a special place in my heart because they were the songs that really got me into Lana

I remember exactly what I was doing when it leaked, in April or May 2012 (I think).
My class (sophomores) were taking a state issued test that day and I remember checking LDRFM to see if anything new was going on. Well, I checked again an hour or two into the test and Never Let Me Go had leaked. I had to hurry up and download the song so I could hear it right after testing was over and I was so nervous. I was literally listening to it for the next few class periods of school that day.
 
If I had been caught using my phone during the test then it would have been voided and I'd have to come back in summer to redo the test. The things I do for Lana<3
 
Also the October 2012 TinyChat leak of Moi Je Joue, Last Girl On Earth, Butterflies, Push Me Down, Live or Die, and I Don't Wanna Go. Methamphetamines and Prom Song leaked around then too, earlier that day. Those tracks are all superb, not to mention the countless videos leaked that day.

When I first bought btd, in without you I thought it was 'I love beeeeiiiing without you' which completely defeats the point of the song.
 
Then although I assumed it couldn't have been, on the bridge of TIWMUG I heard 'like a ton/tin of whales jumpin' on the train platform, crying cos they know I'm never comin' back' which it sounds nothing like but once I heard it, I always did.

I agree with what most people are saying in this thread. Let's face it, if you want to be famous and you want to write songs then you have to exaggerate a little bit here and there to sound more interesting. And a lot of artists have songs written for them and their management is very controlling over their image - I'm not saying that's a bad thing, I just think it's bullshit when people say Lana's fake because in her career and personal life I feel that she's very interdependent and really knows what she's doing/what direction she wants to go in.
 
We don't really need to know the exact time scale and every little detail about her past, we have enough proof to say that she must have spend at least a bit of time in a trailer park and I don't think she'd make up having alcohol dependence and drug issues even if she does make out it was a bigger problem than it really was, tbh I hope she was exaggerating on that part. I think she just likes to bring her fantasy into her reality - as Lizzy Grant she always seemed to have lots of big dreams gangsters and now she's famous I think she wants to make a sort of beautiful story out of her past but obviously it has to be a little dramatized or nobody (apart from us stalkers) would be terribly interested, if that makes sense.

considering the fact there's a bunch of pictures of her living in a trailer park, and there's some pictures where she really did look like she was on meth, no i don't think she is lying. exaggerating isn't the same as lying, you have to exaggerate in songs, otherwise it'd just be like going to the shops and buying bread. 

I think parts are fabricated and other parts are honest. Like all good story tellers, she draws from experience and creates something that she can connect to on a personal level but isn't 100% fact. I don't take any issue with it tbh, I'm here 4 the ride 

In You & Me I found out the other day that she doesn't  say 'that proves they were glistening / that proves they're magnificent' and it's actually about tattoos? it's one of my favourite songs but i've always focused on the instrumentation too much which is pretty basic so I have no excuse
