24 is the worst song of her entire career, unreleased included.

Honeymoon is a good album, but it's dragged down by its weakest songs. Honeymoon was a long opening track, but it dragged on because it didn't really do anything. Terrence Loves You is a really potentially good song, the Maida Vale Sessions show that, but the studio version is done badly. The volume is all over the place and whenever it gets loud, it gets very tinny and ends up with sounds in the background that make it unpleasant to listen to. 24 Hours is both out of place and its lyrics are awful. It sounds like a theme song for a self-aware Bond rip-off. And Lana should never do another Nina Simone cover again. She managed to drain all of the soul out of Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood.

I don't think you're listening to the right song.

    ...What?

It would not end well if she attempted to copy other people. Also, High on the Beach was barely trap.

I'd like an album with more Lolita-esque songs. Not in the BTD 2.0 sense but in the "spit in my mouth daddy" sense.

I think 24 and Honeymoon were the weakest original songs on HM, and DLMBM is probably a good example of why she should leave other peoples' songs alone. I think the quality of her writing is declining.

I don't know where to post this messy post so i decided to post it here since the set list was posted here too.
This set list isn't even that bad if she would make some changes she could please her hard core fans more without leaving her signature songs out.

    Cruel World
    Cola
    Blue Jeans
    West Coast
    Born To Die

i don't think she'll change them, she seems satisfied with those songs and their order. now i think she really does need to change her honeymoon segment tho

    Honeymoon:
    - it seems like a bit of a bore to me, the song was good at the bbc live lounge but it won't do good at festivals i believe. it's just too long and slow, the constant repetitions in the lyrics don't help. she should either cut the second verse or replace the song.

    High By The Beach:
+ it's the first HM single so in theory it's a good song to perform live.
    - however it doesn't sound good, so she either needs to rearrange it or drop it.

    Freak:
    - cut it. it's not a song to sing that sounds good live, it's worse than hbtb.

my suggestions: hm songs that would fit into a festival, her set list and are way easier to arrange as a live performance.

    Music To Watch Boys To:
+ Majority of the fans love the song
+ it has a video and was a promotional single so she could do this one instead of HBTB.
+ it would actually sound good live because the instrumental and vocal production aren't hard to recreate.

    Salvatore:
+ it won't put the crows to sleep
+ it would probably sound good live and be fun for lana to perform (i guess).
+ wouldn't this also be a great opening song from the instrumental part? that's asking for too much of lana though, she probably won't change the first segment.

    Religion or The Blackest Day:
+ it's from HM and they're two of the more exciting songs.
    - GKIT Religion and TBD are all kind of the same type of songs so she should sing only one of them

    Art Deco
    + it's a fan favourite
    - i think it will sound awful live tho so

    24:
+ she could sing this in the last segment between VG and Ride for example.

    Swan Song
+ would make sense as the last song
    - it's too long and would probably bore the crowd.

My suggestions for the second and last segment, the songs in italics are songs that Lana brought back again so i don't think she'll drop them :

    Music To Watch Boys To
    Serial Killer
    Carmen
    Shades Of Cool
    Religion / TBD
    Ultraviolence

    Summertime Sadness
    Brooklyn Baby
    Yayo / 24
    Video Games
    Salvatore
    Off To The Races

she should replace cruel world tho it's such a weird opener for a hm concert. she could also just use burnt norton as the intro.

It was discovered on this website that Lana del Rey was a member of a group called the Atlantic Group (a part of Alcoholics Anonymous) in her past. The Atlantic Group is infamous for its cult behavior and for its treatment of young female members. I think it's obvious it's about them, especially given the reference to deadly nightshade, also known as A. belladonna which was used as a treatment for alcoholism. In fact, several of her songs reference AA or AA's ideas.

It was in one of the threads about her old private Facebook. They had a bunch of screenshots and she mentioned AG in one or two of them.

They really are extremely creepy. (They'd have "Young People's" meetings where the young girls would be coerced into having sex with one of the older guys, and that occurred in multiple spin-offs of the Atlantic Group and Pacific Group.)

Meh. While I'm not particularly okay with searching through a person's private life, it's not any more or less personal than revealing it through music and interviews.

Depends on what you mean when you say "declining". It's inarguable that in terms of albums sales, budgeting, relevance, etc., she's in decline. That's partially her own fault and partially beyond her control.

Artistically (outside of budget limitations)? I don't know. I think that there's a sharpness between her best and worst songs on Honeymoon. On Born to Die and Ultraviolence, there may have been questionable quality songs, but they weren't bad or anything. However, the songs on Honeymoon it was obvious - to me - which songs were terrible and which were good, even from the recordings of the event she had. That's all subjective, so still. I don't know if - objectively - her art is in decline.

ngl, my only problem with Lana remixes is that it seems like - even with big name producers - it seems like they make little effort to make mixes that actually match the vocals. The most illustrative example being Cedric Gervais' remix of Young and Beautiful. It was like he slapped an EDM beat over the original and made no effort to really mix it.

this is my favorite, and the best imo, Lana remix:

It's because it's Bond-esque that it's an awful song. The lyrics aren't repetitive or boring, they're outright cringeworthy. The instrumentation itself is great, the lyrics are terrible.
